Winning Form selections for all races from @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Monday 22nd September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
SIRIANO has shown some signs of needing his last two starts. He raced from just off the pace over this C&D last time, but did not go on with the effort. The son of Querari should be at peak fitness and unless one of the first timers have ability, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
MIAMI SUMMER finished 2.1 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The son of The United States would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TURBULENT is an unraced son of Rafeef from the Lucinda Woodruff stable with Sean Veale in the saddle. He is related to six-time winner Winter Flight. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.
Race 2
GOLD GIBOSKI set the pace over 1400m on this course last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of United Front. He drops to 1250m and the blinkers should sharpen him up. Richard Fourie rides from pole position and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
DIGBY has decent form lines to his credit. He raced from just off the pace over 1000m last time and stayed on to finish second. He will strip a much fitter horse and is one of the leading contenders.
FOX ON THE RUN is an unraced son of Canford Cliffs from the James Crawford stable with Sean Veale in the saddle. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first timers.
Race 3
CHANCE ENCOUNTER has produced two good efforts to date. He returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Vercingetorix should love the rise to the mile. If not too green around the turn, he may be the one to beat.
GREENCHOICE made the expected natural improvement when second over 1250m on this course last time. He jumped outwards leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and merits healthy respect.
FEAR OF FIRE showed improvement when second over this C&D last time. Richard Fourie is booked to ride, and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
HAZEL GREEN has shown good improvement in her last two starts. She showed good speed over 1250m on this course last time, but was caught late. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can shed her maiden tag.
SOUTH OF FRANCE has produced three decent efforts to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. She should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and with luck in running, she should pose a threat.
ELUSIVE GIFT showed good improvement when second over 1500m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Elusive Fort is a progressive type and with a handy galloping weight, she would not be a shock winner.
Race 5
GIMMIE RULES won a good race on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The well-related son of Gimmethegreenlight returns from a 14-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. He does take on stronger but looks to have plenty of class about him. With a bit of luck in running, he can remain unbeaten.
SAUDI CAT followed up his debut victory with a decent second-place finish over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AFRICAN PRINCE was given a peach of a ride when winning the Non-Black Type Winter Country Championship 1250 Final last time. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 6
TRUE HORIZON finished 4.4 lengths behind ANGEL’S OASIS last time. She is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She jumps from pole position once again and if getting away on terms, she can notch up her second-career victory.
EASY MONEY ran on well when second in Non-Black Type Winter Country Championship 1000 Final last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. With a bit of luck in running, she should be involved at the finish.
ANGEL’S OASIS took the lead at the 200m mark last time before getting caught late by Lowveld Lily. A repeat of that outing should see her be competitive in this line-up.
Race 7
OCTOBER STORM ran a decent race in his first run out of the maidens over this distance at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Despite a slow start, he showed pace before getting outrun. The son of Vercingetorix would have strengthened up during his time off the track and from pole position, he may be the one to beat.
SHIFTING PATH moved up like a winner over 1250m last time before getting caught late. He finished 1.85 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
MAGICAL PLACE was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D last time. The son of What A Winter takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. I
Race 8
LADY LOOK ALIKE has very good consistent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when third in the Non-Black Type Winter Country Championship 1500 Final. Her best form has come under Luyolo Mxothwa and the pair merit respect.
HAMPSTEAD HEATH stayed on after a slow start to finish second over this C&D last time. If confirming her recent improvement, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
PENTOLINA finished 0.05 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She will strip much fitter and cannot be discounted.
Race 9
INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH is the best bet on the programme. He ran on from last when second over 1400m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. Craig Zackey retains the ride from pole position, and he should notch up his third-career victory.
CAPTAINS ALLIANCE followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1500m on this course. He received a bump leaving the start and finished off his race strongly. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
KING’S QUEST ran on well when second over 1800m on this course last time. He has finished second once and third three times from as many starts on this course. He is drawn widest of all, but Aldo Domeyer should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle
