Race 1
The betting market will be the best guide in this contest. TRIP TO CAMELOT is an unraced son of Trippi from the Justin Snaith stable with Gavin Lerena in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including King Pelles and Legend Of Arthur. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note.
WHIRLWIND is a daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the James Crawford yard with Richard Fourie doing duty. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.
OBJET D’ ART ran a fair race on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he hung outwards in the final 300m. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He would have gained from the experience and should make the natural progression.
Race 2
KAMCHATKA finished 0.1 lengths behind SWIATEK last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Two of her three career victories have come on this course. The daughter of Erupt may be the horse to side with.
SWIATEK is a winner of her last two starts over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. She is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
GOODNESSGRACIOUSME finished 2.35 lengths behind the second selection in the race referred to above. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
Race 3
RED WAVE set the pace over 1500m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time, but found one too good in the form of Sierra Sagrada. The son of Erik The Red would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Gavin Lerena is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and the combination may be hard to peg back.
LOMU stayed on when fifth over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. The son of Captain Of All is a progressive type and may have more improvement to come.
SMART HORSE finished 1.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 4
LEBOMBO GOLD showed improvement when fifth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Gold Standard will love the rise to 1400m and she may have more to come.
RED CORAL has improved in each of her efforts to date. She returns from an 11-week break and would have strengthened up during her time off the track. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
HEAVENLY MAFIA ran a fair race when fourth over 1600m last time. The daughter of Heavenly Blue may be ideally suited to this distance and she can earn a cheque for her patrons.
Race 5
MIGHTY MARY has finished second in her last two starts. She was slow into stride over 1600m last time, but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Querari is a progressive type and it is encouraging that Craig Zackey is booked to ride. She may be the horse to side with from barrier two.
CHICKASAW lost a length leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish fourth. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1400m. She should pose a massive threat.
BEAUTIFUL ONE has run three fair races to date. It must be noted that Viva La Vida has come out and won again since. The daughter of One World has scope and she cannot be discounted.
Race 6
WISH LIST followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. She should have won that day as she was held up for a run at the 200m mark. The daughter of Legislate looks to have some class about her and with luck in running, she should take a power of beating.
DREAM SEARCHER finished 2.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
RAHHABBA finished 1 length behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 3kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 7
HELIOTROPE has decent consistent form lines to her credit. She was slow into stride over 1950m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time, but stayed on to finish second. The daughter of Rafeef tries the 2400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can return to winning ways.
TWICE THE MASTER finished 0.95 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
JET A ONE is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. The son of Erupt is the stable elect with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back if fit.
Race 8
ORBIT is better than his last start as he raced wide around the turn and was reported to have a mouth injury. He returns from a 14-week break which would have done him the world of good. His best form has come over this distance and with luck in running, he would not be a shock winner.
IRELAND FOREVER is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Winter Nursery. The son of Rafeef returns from an 18-week break and has been gelded. He won on debut over this distance and there should be good improvement to come.
BARNEY MCGREW finished 0.4 lengths behind RATTLESNAKE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe
