Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 17th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

TIMELINE showed good improvement in her first start in the Eastern Cape over this distance on the turf. She showed good speed, tried hard but found one too good in the form of American Matador. The daughter of One World carries a handy galloping mass of 51kgs and if taking to the surface, she can shed her maiden tag.

MIO DESTINO ran a good race when third over 1300m on this course last time. He was reported to have bled that day and returns from his suspension. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BAHAMIAN BEAT is an unraced son of Global View from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie booked to ride. He is related to multiple winners including Foreign Source and United Express. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

RACE 2

NUCLEAR POWER showed massive improvement when third over 1400m on this course last time. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he hung inwards in the final 200m. That was his first outing as a gelding and he should strip much fitter. With another light mass, he may be the one to side with.

AETHELWULF has finished third in his last two starts. He carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and is one of the leading contenders.

STAND UP has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He took an awkward stride at the start last time. The son of Querari tries the mile for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be competitive.

RACE 3

FAMILY POWER won a game race over this C&D last time. She raced from a handy position and fought hard to hold all challengers at bay. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Girish Dookhit which will assist her cause. She jumps from pole position and can follow up with another victory.

GREEN ISLE finished 0.15 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 3kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. She has cracked a good draw of two and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

UMZOLOZOLO was squeezed leaving the start last time and stayed on to finish third. If getting away to a clean start, she should be involved at the finish.

RACE 4

WISHES AND DREAMS followed up her maiden win with a victory over this C&D. She raced from a handy position and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. She is drawn in pole position and despite her big mass of 62kgs, she can bring up the hat-trick.

COLORAMA finished 3 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

EAST COAST GIRL was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this C&D. The daughter of Querari takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

RACE 5

MERCANTOUR is the best bet on the programme. He has won the first two legs of the Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge. The son of Var ran on strongly to get the better of Guy Gibson in the second leg over 1400m. He is clearly in a good space and in this small field, he should notch up the hat-trick.

BINGWA was his own worst enemy in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is at his best over this distance and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

BRENDEN JAMES ran on strongly to win his last start over this C&D. The son of Coup De Grace has found his best form with the blinkers fitted and must be considered.

Race 6

ONE RELIGION ran on from a long way back when 4.25 lengths behind RICHARDTHEFEARLESS last time. She is 6kgs better off at the weights today. The daughter of Silvano carries a more suitable weight and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.

RED WILLIAM is a winner of his last three starts, the latest of which was over 2000m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last outing has come out and won since. He is drawn widest of all, but Luyolo Mxothwa knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

ROLL OF THE DICE has good consistent form lines to his credit. He is likely to get his own way in front from barrier two and may be hard to peg back.

RACE 7

GUY GIBSON was running on when second in the second leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field once again and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his third-career victory.

VULCANITE is having her first run in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Kelly Mitchley. She has been disappointing in recent outings on the Highveld. The daughter of Erupt is the best-weighted runner and if taking to the polytrack, she can show good improvement.

ABOVE THE HORIZON stayed on when third over 1400m in the Racehorse Owners Association Plate last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He is a horse with scope and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 8

RUSSIAN EMPIRE stayed on at the finish when 5.75 lengths behind KING VISERYS last time. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He finished 2 lengths behind CRUZADOR in his penultimate outing. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He jumps from pole position and Xolani Ndlovu may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.

CRUZADOR stayed on when fifth over 1200m on this course last time. He finished 5.1 lengths behind KING VISERYS in his penultimate outing. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

KING VISERYS is unbeaten from two starts since relocating to the Eastern Cape. The obvious concerns are his big mass of 63kgs and the wide draw. However, he is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick
