Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 20th March where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
OLAF THE STOUT is one of the better bets on the programme. He produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course. The son of Erik The Red understandably raced green, but showed speed and stayed on nicely to finish second. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
INTO RED SPACE is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Kelly Mitchley stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. He is related to three-time winner Space Race. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other first-timers.
CHIM CHIM CHEREE is an unraced daughter of Chimichuri Run from the Dean Smith stable with Craig Zackey in the irons. She is related to two-time winner Captain Ventura. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.
RACE 2
OBSIDIAN STAR produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. She showed speed but found one too good in the form of Marchland who has won again since. The daughter of Hawwaam would have come on from the run and with experience on her side, she may be the one to beat.
MALIBU ICE is an unraced daughter of Malmoos from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to Top Seed who has won once and placed twice from as many starts. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrant.
ROSES FOR TREX is an unraced daughter of Horizon from the Dean Smith yard and Craig Zackey does duty. She is related to two-time winner Zena Rose. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.
RACE 3
HOMING PIGEON hails from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. The daughter of Hawwaam has good consistent form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time and stayed on to finish third. If all goes well with her travels, she can shed her maiden tag.
OH MANDY was running on too late when second over this C&D last time. She is still a maiden after 22 starts, but is in a good space and should pose a threat.
ONE SUMMER’S last two starts over this C&D have been good. She finished 0.5 lengths behind the second choice in her penultimate run. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
RACE 4
SONG TO THE MOON may not have seen out the 2000m last time. It must be noted that Tenpenny has come out and won again since. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this distance. Chad Little rides from pole position and if all went well with his travels, he can return to winning ways.
GLOBAL ALLY is better than his last start over this C&D. He won a good race in his penultimate effort over 1600m on the polytrack, under Richard Fourie. If putting his best foot forward, he should pose a massive threat.
GINGER DELIGHT is a winner of her last two starts over 1900m on the polytrack. She returns from a well-deserved 11-week break. She is the stable elect with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle and can bring up the hat-trick.
RACE 5
GREAT NOTION is better than her last start in the Listed Lady’s Pendant. She was not beaten far in her penultimate run over 1200m on the polytrack. She has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this distance. The daughter of Danon Platina is back in a Handicap and despite carrying top weight, she can return to winning ways.
FAMILY POWER was a tad disappointing over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and with luck in running, she can go close.
LADY BOMBER is a winner of her last three starts, the latest of which was over 1600m on this course. She has finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber is clearly in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 6
FAIRY KNIGHT is a winner of his last three starts. He was given a peach of a ride to get the better of Guy Gibson over 1400m last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie knows him well and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again.
CRUISE CONTROL was caught late when 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
MERCANTOUR finished 1.85 lengths behind ROMAN AGENT last time. He is 9.5kgs better off at the weights today. That should be enough for the tables to be turned and he would not be a shock winner.
RACE 7
ANOTHERDANCEFORME is the top bet on the programme. She was super-impressive when victorious in the Listed Breeders Guineas last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is the best-weighted runner. She will strip much fitter and should take a power of beating.
IN A TIMELY MANNER returned to winning ways over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He showed a good turn of foot and won easier than the official margin suggests. The son of Legislate may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
SILVA CITY ran a fair race in the Listed Ibhayi Stakes last time. She has won twice and finished second three times from eight starts on this course. If getting away on terms, she can show.
RACE 8
MENTE ET MANU has good consistent form lines to his credit. He set the pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time before getting outrun late. The son of Lancaster Bomber would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. He should get a good run in transit from barrier three and can notch up his fifth-career victory.
PORFIRIO is a winner of his last three starts. He received a seven-pound penalty for his last win. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect.
INGQWELE won a good race over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Fire Away is in a good space and can follow up with another victory
