Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 26th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
PIBE DE ORO‘S last three starts have been good. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung outwards in the final 400m. He has finished second twice and third once from four starts on this course. The son of One World gets a change of headgear which may do the trick. Apprentice Girish Dookhit takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. In this type of field, he can shed his maiden tag.
STAND UP has good recent form lines to his name. He finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate outing. He is 7.5kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around.
RIVER FERN was well-beaten into fourth over 1200m on this course last time. His penultimate run when second over 1000m on this course, catches the eye. He carries a light mass of 50.5kgs and would not be a shock winner.
RACE 2
AMANATTO‘S last two starts on this course have been good. She was her own worst enemy in the early stages last time as she over raced in the early stages. She was touched off in her penultimate outing over this distance. The daughter of Danon Platina jumps from pole position and she should be the one to beat.
ELUSIVE BOMBA showed good improvement when fourth in her first outing for the Zietsman Oosthuizen stable. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber would have come on from the run and she should strip much fitter. Apprentice Girish Dookhit takes the 4kgs off her back and she is one of the leading contenders.
ROYAL MERMAID returns from a 17-week break and is having her first outing for the Gavin Smith stable. She may be at her best over further but in this line-up, she can earn a cheque for her patrons.
RACE 3
HAIR TRIGGER stayed on at the finish when fourth over this C&D last time. He should have finished closer to the winner in his local debut as he had to be steadied at the 300m mark. The son of Fire Away gets the blinkers fitted which should sharpen him up. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and can cause a surprise.
SWISS WALT has good recent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.25 lengths behind DONNY TEE in his penultimate outing. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
MASKED VIGILANTE won a game race over this distance on the turf last time. Three of his seven career victories have come on this course. He is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.
RACE 4
This is a competitive Middle Stakes and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is HEEMSTEDE who is having his first run for the Juan Nel stable. His last start in the Non-Black Type Port Elizabeth Gold Cup is best ignored as he did not see out the distance. The son of Potala Palace won his previous two starts on this surface. He jumps from pole position, should get a good run in transit and may be the horse to beat.
ROLL OF THE DICE has good recent form lines to his credit. He has won three times from four starts over this C&D. The son of Flower Alley is likely to get his own way in front and may be hard to peg back.
FEW DOLLARS MORE may have cost himself winning last time. He would have come on from the outing and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be involved at the finish.
RACE 5
COLORAMA should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was switched for running room at the 200m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. All four of her career victories have come on this course. It is a small field and she should not be too far off the leaders turning for home. With a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.
WISHES AND DREAMS was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1200m on the turf last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She tries the mile against stronger, but has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
TAKE YOUR TIME has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She turned for home in a wide position last time, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. She is carded to race on 23 September 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 6
READY is the best bet on the programme. He over raced in the early stages of his last start, but stayed on nicely in the run down to the line. The son of Red Ray is the best-weighted runner in his Handicap debut. He has plenty of scope and should be too good for this field.
DOWSER stayed on when third over 1600m on the polytrack last time. He takes a slight drop in class and gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Dookhit. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
BIG BOY BRUCE stayed on when third over 1200m on this course, in his local debut. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If confirming his recent improvement, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 7
MERCANTOUR was given a peach of a ride when winning the first leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge last time. The son of Var has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle, and he can follow up with another victory.
USA‘S HOPE finished 1.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
THE AFRICA HOUSE won a game race over this C&D, in his local debut. The son of What A Winter was given a well-timed ride by Xolani Ndlovu that day. He would have come on from the outing and should run another honest race.
RACE 8
THUNDER MASTER has been unlucky in his last three starts. He should have won his last outing over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that outing has been franked. Chase Maujean is booked to ride from a good draw of three, and he may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.
KING‘S SAILOR ran a good race when third over 1300m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If confirming his recent improvement, he should be involved at the finish.
PRINCE ANTONIO followed up his maiden victory with a decent fourth-place finish over this distance on the turf. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. He is drawn widest of all but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle
