Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 5th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
LOTUS SILK is an unraced daughter of Rafeef from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Little Prince and does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
ICED MARMALADE showed some signs of needing her last start over 1300m on the polytrack. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Danon Platina should have good improvement to come.
MONEY GALORE has run three fair races to date. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She is a filly with scope and would not be a shock winner.
RACE 2
SHORI KAI produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. She lost a length leaving the start, raced green and shifted away from the crop. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Global View would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the horse to beat.
BRIGHT ERUPTION showed good improvement when fourth over 1200m last time. The son of Erupt will strip much fitter and should love the rise to 1400m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
LACRYMA CHRISTI ran a fair race over 1000m on the polytrack last time. She steps up to 1400m and has plenty of scope to improve.
RACE 3
KEENIA‘S PRINCESS showed improvement in her last start over 1400m on this course. The saddle was reported to have slipped and she was coughing. The daughter of Querari is having her peak run and should love the rise to 1600m. Wayne Agrella is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.
BOMBER BAY has decent recent form lines to his name. He raced from a handy position over this distance on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Global Drumbeat. The son of Lancaster Bomber merits healthy respect.
QUICK CROWN finished 1.8 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around. The booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus.
RACE 4
FLOWER FESTIVAL is one of the better bets on the programme. She has good recent form lines to her name. She found one too good in the form of Brenden James over this distance on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Flower Alley has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance. It is encouraging that Luyolo Mxothwa steps back into the saddle and she should be competitive.
ROTOTO stayed on when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. He drops back in class and is one of the leading contenders.
BEER WITH THE BOYS ran a good race when third over 2000m on the turf last time. He was reported to be not striding out that day. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance. The son of Silvano cannot be discounted.
RACE 5
Trainer Alan Greeff holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. HOERIKWAGGO is having her first outing for the Greeff stable. She is better than her post maiden effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and she will be fitted with the tongue-tie. The daughter of Canford Cliffs has scope and can show good improvement.
SMASHING showed good speed when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a six- pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Rafeef merits healthy respect.
DANISH DYNAMITE followed up her maiden win with a victory over 1000m on this course. She showed good speed and held on where it matters most. The daughter of Erik The Red takes on stronger, but she is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
Race 6
FAIRY KNIGHT got going too late when second behind Mercantour in the first leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge. Five of his ten career victories have come on this course. He will strip a much fitter horse and can return to winning ways with Richard Fourie back in the saddle.
ANUSCHKA‘S WORLD won his last start over 1200m on this course easier than the official margin suggests. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of One World may be the horse to fill the exacta spot.
CROWNED HORNBILL finished 6.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 7.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. However, ANUSCHKA’S WORLD won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand.
RACE 7
SILENT TRIGGER returns from a 15-week break and is having his first run for the Gavin Smith stable. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course was encouraging. He drops to 1400m and the blinkers should sharpen him up. If not in need of the outing, he can bring up his fourth-career victory. P
INCE ANTONIO won a good race over 1200m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.
GLOBETONIC ran a fair race over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should earn another cheque for his patrons.
RACE 8
HEART STEALER is much better than his last start in the Non-Black Type Port Elizabeth Gold Cup. He finished 0.05 lengths behind PAINITE, three runs ago. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished second three times from six starts on this course. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
MAKHACHEV finished 0.5 lengths behind PAINITE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
PAINITE won a game race over this C&D last time. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Twice Over jumps from pole position and merits healthy respect
