Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 9th January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
TERMINAL VELOCITY has been costly to follow since arriving in the Eastern Cape. She found one too good in the form of Celtique last time and was reported to be fatigued that day. The daughter of Global View tries the 2200m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can shed her maiden tag in this field.
MONT TREMBLANT ran a good race when third over 1900m on this course last time. The son of Master Of My Fate is the stable elect with Muzi Yeni aboard and is one of the leading contenders.
AETHELWULF has fair consistent form lines to his name. The son of New Predator tries the 2200m for the first time. He is likely to get his own way in front and may be hard to peg back.
RACE 2
Trainer Alan Greeff holds a strong hand in this contest. GREAT NOTION is unbeaten from two starts since arriving in the Eastern Cape. She showed a good turn of foot to win her last start over 1400m on this course. She is the best-weighted runner in this contest and should take a power of beating.
HAPPY WIVES was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. Kendall Minnie retains the ride, and the combination merit healthy respect.
KINGS AGAIN was running on too late when second over 1000m on this course last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this distance. The daughter of One World should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 3
WAROFDYNAMITE was running on when fourth over 1000m on this course last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Apprentice Bavish Soodoo takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. He takes a slight drop in class and can notch up his second-career victory.
ON AN IMPULSE was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag in his local debut over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
CADENZA is better than his post maiden effort as he was reported to be fatigued. It must be noted that Teerex has come out and won again since. He drops to 1200m and cannot be ignored.
RACE 4
WARRIOR‘S SWORD showed massive improvement when third in his local debut over 1200m on this course. Despite over racing in the early stages, the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of William Longsword should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and if confirming his recent improvement, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
BLAME IT ON ME finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
CLIFFIE CLAVIN has consistent recent form lines to his name. He did not settle in the early stages of his last start over 1600m and drops back to 1400m. He jumps from pole position once again and cannot be ignored.
RACE 5
Trainer Dean Smith holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first two past the post. FRENCH FLAME finished 1.1 lengths behind SILVONIAN last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and he may be the one to side with.
SILVONIAN is a winner of his last two starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed from his good draw of two and can bring up the hat-trick.
ANDY COOGLE is a winner of his last two starts over 1200m on this course. He received a four-pound penalty for his last victory. The son of Heavenly Blue is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 6
RHYTHM is having his first run in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Dean Smith. He has not finished too far off the winner in his last two starts at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Craig Zackey takes the ride and if settled into his new surroundings, he should return to winning ways.
GENERAL PARDON won a good race in her local debut over 1400m on this course. The daughter of Fire Away takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
FLIGHT ENGINEER lacked extra late over 1400m last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Lancaster Bomber takes a drop in class and cannot be discounted.
RACE 7
WHITE WATERS followed up her maiden win with a hard-fought victory over 1400m on this course. She makes her handicap debut but carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs. The daughter of Erupt may be better than her rating suggests and she can bring up the hat-trick.
FAMILY POWER won a game race over this C&D last time. She returns from a well-deserved 17-week break which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the outing, she should be involved at the finish.
EXQUISITE won her last start over 1400m on this course. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Rafeef returns from a 15-week break and if not in need of the run, she should be competitive.
RACE 8
JET LAVISH is better than her last outing as she flyjumped leaving the start and it cost her getting her own way in front. The daughter of One World takes a big drop in class. There does not seem to be much pace in this contest and this can play into her favour. If Bavish Soodoo is able to get her away on terms, she should be hard to catch.
SAIGON SUZIE ran on strongly when second over 1000m on this course last time. She meets a similar type of field and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can go one better.
JAMBO SANA stayed on when second over this C&D last time. She has won once, finished second twice and third twice from ten starts over this C&D. She is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Craig Zackey who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle
