Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday 7th November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
THE MARQUEE is the best bet on the programme. He was running on when fourth over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of William Longsword will love the rise to 1400m and with racing experience on this course, he should be the one to beat.
SON OF RAFEEF was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that Cognac has come out and won again since. He should enjoy the rise to 1400m and if not too green around the turn, he should pose a threat.
CHRISTMAS CACTUS lost 2 lengths leaving the start on debut but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw which will assist his cause. If jumping on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 2
SEE IT AGAIN was carded to race on 19 October 2025 but was withdrawn for delaying the start. This is his seasonal debut and the outing will bring him on for the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. If loading, he may be the one to beat.
ROYAL VICTORY stayed on at the finish in his seasonal debut over 1400m. He would have come on from the run and this outing will bring him to his peak.
ON MY HONOUR was doing his best work at the finish over 1400m on this course last time. Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. He will strip much fitter and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 3
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is ROY‘S GRACE from the Kumaran Naidoo stable. She stayed on at the finish over this C&D last time. She has cracked a good draw of three and in this field, she may be the one to side with.
QUEEN OF THE AIR showed signs of needing her comeback run over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Miss Twinkle has come out and won again since. She will strip much fitter and on best form shown, she should be competitive.
SUGAR BABY LOVE has shown signs of needing her first two starts. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Damyan Pillay which will assist her cause. She has scope and may have improvement to come.
Race 4
This is a weak Maiden Plate for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is SHEEZAROCKET from the Doug Campbell yard with Rachel Venniker retaining the ride. She stayed on over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of William Longsword should enjoy the rise to 1900m and with luck in running, she may be the one to beat.
FINE WINE found one too good in the form of Rejuvenate last time. She finished second in her penultimate outing over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
INTRO is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. Her form prior to that outing was consistent and she cannot be ignored.
Race 5
WHITE SEAHORSE showed signs of needing his comeback run over 1400m on this course. He won his only attempt over this C&D when shedding his maiden tag. The son of Pomodoro will strip much fitter and with Cole Dicken back in the saddle, he may be the one to cause the surprise.
ATTABOY tried hard when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Kanaal Skater has come out and won again since. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
PAPA C stayed on at the finish over 1900m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. If finding the form of his penultimate victory, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 6
COGNAC was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Rafeef should have no issues with the rise to 1400m. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can keep his unbeaten record intact.
SAFE TRAVEL followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 1600m on the polytrack. He raced from a handy position and tried hard all the way to the line. From his handy draw of five, he should be involved at the finish.
INGQWELE is better than his last start on the polytrack. If finding the form of his penultimate outing, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 7
DARK MATTER received a bump leaving the start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but stayed on nicely to finish fourth. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from her awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
CRAFTY CROFTY tried hard when second over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Siesta Sunset. She jumps from pole position and should be at peak fitness. The daughter of Rafeef cannot be discounted.
SUMMER WINTER ran a fair race in her comeback run over this C&D, last week Friday. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter.
Race 8
CATS PAJAMAS ran a good race when third in his seasonal debut over this C&D. He was reported to have cast a shoe in running that day. The son of Rafeef would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off his back and he can notch up his sixth-career victory.
GLADATORIAN won a game race in the Grade 1 HKJC Champions Cup last time. He returns from a well-deserved 15-week break which would have done him the world of good. This outing will bring him on for future races, but he has class and merits healthy respect.
DAVE THE KING finished behind the second selection in the race referred to above. He is unbeaten from three starts over this distance. This run will bring him on for future races, but he has the class to be competitive and would not be a shock winner.
Race 9
PHUTULICIOUS has shown signs of a form return in his last two starts. He stayed on at the finish over 1000m on this course last time. The son of Fire Away takes a drop in class and with the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Damyan Pillay, he can notch up his third-career victory.
BARRY DU GROND ran a good race when second over 1000m on the polytrack last time. He was running on nicely at the finish that day. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off his back and he is one of the leading contenders.
NOW I GOT YOU lacked extra late on the polytrack last time. He has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. With a bit of luck from the wide draw, he should produce another honest effort.
Race 10
ACACIA‘S BLOSSOM should have finished closer to the winner over this C&D last time. She finished 1.45 lengths behind DE VLUGGE in her penultimate run. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She takes a drop in class and from her good draw of four, she can notch up her sixth-career victory.
DE VLUGGE followed up her maiden win with a good fourth-place finish over this C&D. It must be noted that Grand Occasion has come out and won again since. She drops in class and is one of the leading contenders.
MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON‘S last three starts have been good. She finished 1.7 lengths behind COPACABANA, three runs ago. She is 6kgs better off at the weights tonight and that should be enough for the tables to be turned
