Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday 16th November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
EASTERN HIGHLANDS cost himself winning last time as he over raced in the early stages and hung in the straight. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The drop to 1000m may suit him well and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can go one better.
AMBER ALERT showed speed over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish third. The son of What A Winter is in a good space and may be hard to peg back.
CAPTAIN VENTURA showed good improvement when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. She showed speed before getting caught late by Austrian Beauty. The daughter of Captain Of All is a progressive type and she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 2
BLUE POPPY has produced two good runs to date. Despite losing two lengths leaving the start last time, she took the lead at the 350m mark before getting caught late by Bella Valentina. The daughter of Danon Platina is a progressive type and from her good draw of three, she can go one better.
TRAIL RUNNER hails from the visiting Sean Tarry stable. She was running on when second over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She returns from a 16-week break and if not in need of the run, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
SOVEREIGN GEM showed some improvement when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive individual and may have more to come.
Race 3
COUNCILLOR stayed on at the finish over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time, but found one too good in the form of Ethical. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive type and carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs. From her good draw of two, she can go one better in this line-up.
QHUDE MANIKINIKI showed good improvement when fifth over 1600m on the polytrack last time. He did not get the best of starts, but stayed on at the business end. The son of Captain Of All will love the extra distance on offer and may have more to come.
TEE DOG should have finished closer last time as he hung inwards in the final 250m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If keeping on a straight line, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 4
MOHANDAS kept finding when winning his last start over 1800m on this course. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The blinkers have done the trick on the 6yo gelding. He is in a good space and from a good draw of two, he can follow up with another victory.
GLOBAL MOVEMENT was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished 1.6 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
MAGIC MAVERICK ran on well when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Horizon has dropped to a competitive rating and should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
FRENCH TRIP has inconsistent form lines to his credit, but finished third over 1900m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The 5yo gelding should be involved at the finish.
OMBUDSMAN is better than his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. He won his penultimate outing over this trip on the Vaal Classic course. If finding the form of that outing, he should pose a threat.
RED MOUNTAIN ran on strongly when second over this C&D last time. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. Tristan Godden is likely to switch him off near the rear of the field and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 6
REGENERATION was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. The daughter of Danon Platina meets a similar field this afternoon. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. She can notch up her fourth-career victory.
TREATY OF PARIS won a good race over this C&D last time. He finished 3 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate outing. He is 5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
BRISTOL HERCULES has good recent form lines to his name. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance. He has cracked pole position and merits healthy respect.
Race 7
QUEEN BRAGANZA followed up her impressive debut win with a good victory over 1200m on this course. The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was eye-catching. The daughter of Potala Palace should love the rise to 1400m. She jumps from a good draw of two and can keep her unbeaten record intact.
SPINMYANGELSSPIN followed up her maiden win with a good third-place finish over 1600m on this course. She was reported to have cast a shoe in running that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
BELLA VALENTINA won a good race on debut over this distance on the polytrack. The daughter of Vercingetorix takes on stronger, but she could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
Race 8
IZIBULO should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was baulked at the 400m mark and awkwardly placed at the 150m mark. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She has cracked pole position and can notch up her second-career victory.
FASCINATION ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. If repeating that effort in this field, she should go close.
THINGAMABOB finished 2.3 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned
