Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday 17th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

LIGHT OF GABRIEL is a progressive type who has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She challenged strongly over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Thingamabob. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1200m. If not too green around the turn, she should be the one to beat.

TREASURE ISLAND finished 1.7 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

SUN IN MY POCKET produced a good comeback run when second over this C&D last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If behaving herself on raceday, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

CELESTIAL DIAMOND is better than her last start in the Grade 1 Douglas Whyte Thekwini Stakes. Her first three career outings at Hollywoodbets Scottsville were encouraging. The daughter of Fire Away should be ideally suited to this distance. She is back in Maiden Company and may be the one to side with.

SPINMYANGELSSPIN is having her first run for the Wengesai Masawi stable. She gets the blinkers fitted which should keep her mind on the task at hand. From her good draw of three, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

ANNIE‘S SONG returns from a lengthy 31-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of What A Winter is a progressive type and if not in need of the run, she can finish in the placings.

Race 3

CHEERSCHEERSCHEERS caught the eye when sixth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on debut. The son of Hawwaam would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1800m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.

CALL ME WILD raced from a handy position over 1900m last time and stayed on to finish third. He finished second in his penultimate outing over this C&D. From pole position, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

TWOCANTANGO ran a good race when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He is coming along the right way and from a good draw of four, he should be right there.

Race 4

BRISTOL HERCULES finished 0.5 lengths behind GO GRAYSON GO last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 2000m. He will strip much fitter and can notch up his third-career victory.

GO GRAYSON GO has good recent form lines to his credit. He tries the 2000m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can go close.

TROIS TROIS QUATRE finished 0.5 lengths behind PLUM PUDDING last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Two of his six career victories have come over this distance and he cannot be discounted.

Race 5

ALANNAH was not disgraced when sixth in the Grade 1 Douglas Whyte Thekwini Stakes last time. She raced wide around the turn that day and understandably did not go on with the effort. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

PROM QUEEN has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She has cracked pole position and should fight out the finish.

UBUKHWEBEZANA finished strongly when winning her last start over 1200m on this course. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

WILLOW GEM caught the eye when fifth over 1200m on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Willow Magic will enjoy the step up to 1400m and she has cracked a good draw of two. It is encouraging that Muzi Yeni is back in the saddle and she can return to winning ways.

OH MY GUCCI GIRL received a bump leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish third. She is having her first run for the Kumaran Naidoo stable. If settled into her new surroundings, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

SAINT BRIGID was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1600m on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course. She is having her first run in KZN and will be doing her best work at the finish.

Race 7

REGENERATION is better than her last start in the Grade 2 Tote Woolavington 2000. She returns from a 17-week break which may have done her the world of good. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Danon Platina has class about her and if fit, she can return to winning ways.

TREATY OF PARIS ran a fair race over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She carries a light mass of 51kgs thanks to 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes. From her good draw of four, she is one of the leading contenders.

JEANNE DARC was in need of her comeback run over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. The daughter of William Longsword should have improvement to come.

Race 8

MILITARY COMMAND had excuses in the Grade 2 Omoda Golden Horseshoe last time. He returns from an 11- week break which may have done him the world of good. His last victory came over this distance in the Non-Black Type Cape Racing Sales Cape Slipper. He is a horse with ability and from his good draw, he may be the one to side with.

SOHO STAR has good consistent form lines to his credit. He has won four times, finished second four times and third once from as many runs over this distance. 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto retains the ride, and he should pose a threat.

QUEUE WING has good recent form lines to his name. The drop in distance should not pose a concern as he won his only attempt over this C&D. He will be running on and would not be a shock winner
