Winning Form selections for Summer Cup Day at Turffontein on Saturday 30th November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

This is the first Maiden Juvenile Plate on the Highveld and the betting market will be the best guide. TURN IT UP is an unraced son of Querari from the Sean Tarry stable and Richard Fourie is booked to ride. He is related to Grade 1 winner Proceed. If not in need of the outing, he should start his career on a positive note.

HEATH HOUSE hails from the Tony Peter stable and he is a son of Erupt. He is related to two-time winner Khethiwe’s Destiny. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and if not too green in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

CALADRIUS is a daughter of Rafeef from the Paul Matchett yard and Philasande Mxoli will do duty. She is related to multiple winners including Gotta Go Eddie and Linkin Navigator. If not in need of the experience, she may be the first female past the post.

Race 2

This is a competitive Conditional Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is HIGHWAYMAN HARRY from the Dianne Stenger stable. He produced a promising debut effort when fourth over this C&D. He was reported to have a head injury that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The son of Hawwaam would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be involved at the finish.

TINTIN was doing his best work late when second over this C&D last time. The son of Rafeef would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

WITCH HAZEL finished 0.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. He was reported to be distressed that day. The son of Hawwaam has plenty of scope and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

COSMIC SPEED ran a cracker when fourth in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge last time. The son of Querari is ideally suited to this distance. The widest draw should not pose a concern as he is versatile. He is carded to race on 20 November 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

CATS PAJAMAS tried hard when second behind Gladatorian last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and if all went well with his travels, he should pose a threat.

WILLIAM ROBERTSON produced an encouraging comeback run over 1160m on this course. He has won three times from four starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding will strip much fitter and from a good draw of four, he merits healthy respect.

Race 4

RODEO DRIVE was not disgraced when third in the Grade 2 Allied Steelrode-Onamission Charity Mile last time. She found herself in front before tiring late. The daughter of The United States has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Her last victory came under Craig Zackey and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

ELEGANTRIX lacked extra late when sixth in the Grade 3 TAB Starling Stakes last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix may be at her best over this type of distance. She has ability and on best form shown, she should be competitive.

MIA MOO is better than her last start in the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint as she was reported to be not striding out. She won a game race in the Grade 1 SA Fillies Sprint in her penultimate outing. The 18-week break may have done her the world of good and she can go close.

Race 5

TRUTH enjoyed the return to sprinting when victorious over 1000m at the Vaal last time. He raced from a prominent position and found extra where it matters most. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Heavenly Blue is ideally drawn on the outside of the course. Serino Moodley retains the ride, and he can follow up with another victory.

FUTURE VARIETY hails from the visiting Candice Bass stable. He was not disgraced in his last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville and the outing would have brought him on nicely. On previous form, he should go close.

QUANTUM THEORY finished 1.4 lengths behind COSMIC STAR in the Listed Allied Steelrode Golden Loom Handicap. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With luck in running, he should fight out the finish.

Race 6

VALENTINA BALDUCCI showed good guts and determination when winning the Grade 3 TAB Starling Stakes last time. Kaidan Brewer sent her to the front and she kept finding all the way to the line. The daughter of Skitt Skizzle should have no issues with the step up to the mile. She is drawn widest of all, but Kabelo Matsunyane is likely to use her early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. She has class about her and can follow up with another victory.

PRETTY PERSUASIVE finished 2.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

MAMLAMBO should have finished closer in the race referred to above as she hung in and had to switch for running room at the 200m mark. The daughter of Canford Cliffs has ability and with luck in running, it would be no surprise to see her in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 7

JAN VAN GOYEN is the best bet on the programme. He was super-impressive when winning the Grade 1 World Pool Moment Of The Day Premiers Champion Stakes at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Master Of My Fate returns from an 18-week break and makes his seasonal debut. Mike and Mathew de Kock are no strangers to getting their horses fit for their return. He is loaded with class and should take a power of beating.

TIN PAN ALLEY was given a well-timed ride when winning the Grade 3 Betway Graham Beck Stakes last time. He finished 3.7 lengths behind the top selection, three runs ago. The son of The United States is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

CHRONICLE KING got the upper hand late when winning over 1450m on the Inside course last time. He finished 4.7 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. With luck from his wide draw, he should have a say.

Race 8

KING PELLES has had a perfect preparation heading into this contest. He lost two lengths leaving the start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. The son of Duke Of Marmalade is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. He will be ideally suited to the longer straight and should take a power of beating.

ATTICUS FINCH is another that has had a faultless preparation. He was super-impressive when winning the Grade 2 Allied Steelrode-Onamission Charity Mile last time. The son of Master Of My Fate won this race last year and can defend his title.

MADISON VALLEY won a good race in his seasonal debut over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He steps back up to 2000m and the blinkers have been removed. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 9

CAPE EAGLE was running on when third in the Non-Black Type Michaelmas Handicap last time. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but Serino Moodley knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

FIELD MARSHAL was running on when second in the Grade 3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes last time. He finished 1 length behind the top selection in his penultimate outing. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

MONEY HEIST finished 2.45 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. He is drawn in pole position and should earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 10

SHOOT THE RAPIDS stayed on at the finish when fifth in the Grade 3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes last time. The son of Erupt is having his peak run and has no stamina issues. His last victory came under Craig Zackey. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can return to winning ways.

DAIMYO won the Listed Allied Steelrode Java Stakes at a nice price last time. Calvin Habib is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the wide draw and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may be hard to peg back.

NEBRAAS finished 3.4 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. Richard Fourie rides from pole position and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 11

This is a competitive Merit Rated 80 Apprentice Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is HARUN AL RASHID from the visiting Gareth van Zyl stable. He produced a good comeback run when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight will strip much fitter and from his good draw of three, he may be the one to side with.

OPEN HIGHWAY finished 0.15 lengths behind THE PLAYBOY BOMBER last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is carded to race on 27 November 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

THE PLAYBOY BOMBER ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If jumping on terms, he should be involved at the finish
