Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 14th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

STAGGERWING produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. She showed speed but found one too good in the form of Secretary Bird. The daughter of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1160m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

GRANDE HAWAII is an unraced daughter of Hawwaam from the Sean Tarry stable with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including King Of The Gauls and Vanakkam. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

ENERGIA showed signs of needing her debut effort over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. She would have come on from the outing and should make the natural progression.

Race 2

PRAYERSANDPROMISES produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1000m on this course. He raced from a prominent position and tried hard all the way to the line. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.

DEAR DOC ran a creditable race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. The son of Heavenly Blue would have gained from the experience and can make the natural progression.

EHHFIFTEENKJOE is the stable companion of the second selection. He showed improvement when fourth over 800m on this course last time. He would have strengthened up during his time off the track and may have more to come.

Race 3

MISS FANTASTIC ran a good race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. The daughter of Rafeef found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to side with.

TRADITIONAL BELIEF took time to find her feet on debut, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Flower Alley would have come on from the outing and should pose a threat.

DETAILED FORECAST showed some signs of needing her last start over 1200m at the Vaal. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will strip much fitter and she can finish in the placings.

Race 4

TASKMASTER stayed on at the finish over 1200m at the Vaal last time, but found one too good in the form of Stoneywood. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He will strip much fitter and in this field, he can shed his maiden tag.

SCORPIO ran a good race when second over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.

SKY PILOT is better than his last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. It must be noted that Quickfreeze has come out and won again since. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 5

SUNSET RIOT finished 2.05 lengths behind PAUL REVERE last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Rafeef is having his peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Chase Maujean retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

PAUL REVERE won a game race over this distance at the Vaal last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

IT‘S PERSONAL has good recent form lines to his credit. He moved up well over 1200m last time before getting outrun late. He will strip much fitter and cannot be discounted.

Race 6

MOCHA FRAPPE has decent recent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when third over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course last time. The drop to 1400m should not pose a concern as he has won over the distance previously. The son of The United States will be mowing down the frontrunners and can return to winning ways.

OKLAHOMA SMOKESHOW finished 1.7 lengths behind PEREGRINE FALCON last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

PEREGRINE FALCON has good consistent form lines to his credit. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back and he must be included in all bets.

Race 7

OLIVIA‘S WAY stayed on when third over 2000m on this course last time. She has won three times and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. Ryan Munger is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

PIONEER SQUARE was caught late when second in the Listed TAB Dr Richard Maponya Handicap last time. He is in a good space and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

THE ULTIMATE KING is better than his last start suggests as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. On his consistent previous form, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 8

JERUSALEMA RAIN ran a fair race over this C&D last time. He raced from a prominent position and stayed on to finish fourth. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He will be at peak fitness and can notch up his fourth-career victory.

THE SPECIALIST was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. He is in a good space and if confirming his recent improvement, he can follow up.

SLINKY MAPIMPI finished 0.3 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 9

READY SET FIRE finished 0.4 lengths behind ONE TIGER last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Pomodoro has dropped to a competitive rating and can return to winning ways.

ONE TIGER was caught late over 1200m at the Vaal last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. Marco van Rensburg retains the ride and he is one of the leading contenders.

LONGSWORD has fair recent form lines to his name. He has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. Ryan Munger is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most
