Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 14th March where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

CATFISH is the only runner with experience. He showed good speed over this distance on the Inside course last time before getting caught late. The son of Danon Platina gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He may be rewarded for consistency.

GOOD DAY SUNSHINE is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to four-time winner Miami Mountain. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other first timers.

CORSARO SUPER is a son of Erupt from the Johan Janse van Vuuren yard with Keagan de Melo up. His mother, Maryah won on debut over 1200m. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself.

Race 2

LOVE NOT WAR is the top bet on the programme. She jumped outwards leaving the start and finished off her race nicely on debut. The daughter of Act Of War would have gained from the experience. Gavin Lerena steps into the saddle and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

STAR MAGNOLIA is an unraced daughter of Danon Platina from the Tony Peter stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. She is related to two-time winner Alannah. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

INDECENT OBSESSION is a daughter of William Longsword from the Candice and Tammy Dawson yard with Serino Moodley in the irons. She is related to three-time winner North Point. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 3

WINGS OF KILDRA was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1160m on this course. Her penultimate run when second over 1200m at the Vaal was encouraging. The daughter of Legislate meets the right field and she may be the one to side with.

MASTER‘S LADY has fair recent form lines to her name. She finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

VYFSTER ran a fair race on debut over 1160m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Rafeef would have gained from the experience and with the blinkers fitted, she should have improvement to come.

Race 4

SOSORU was his own worst enemy over 1200m on debut as he over raced in the early stages. He has been gelded since that outing which may have done the trick. The son of Vercingetorix drops to 1000m and if not in need of the outing, he can show good improvement.

SLENDER SILHOUETTE is lightly raced with fair form lines to her name. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. She will strip much fitter and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SCORPIO is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. If finding the form of his penultimate run, he would not be a shock winner.

Race 5

INTO DANCING finished 0.3 lengths behind REECE’S WISH last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. The daughter of Ideal World finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. She jumps from a good draw of four and with luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

REECE‘S WISH followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1600m on this course. The daughter of Vercingetorix should love the rise to 2000m. Keagan de Melo rides and the combination merit healthy respect.

CURIOUS GIRL is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. If all went well with her travels up to the Highveld, she can notch up the hat-trick.

Race 6

COUNCILLOR won a good race over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. She was slow into stride but finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Rafeef carries a handy galloping mass of 51.5kgs and if this run has not come too soon, she can follow up with another victory.

TEXAS MISSILE tried hard when second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He won his penultimate outing over this C&D. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be the first male past the post.

MASTER SPY followed up his maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1800m on the Inside course. The son of Master Of My Fate should love the rise to 2000m and with luck in running, he should be competitive.

Race 7

ALADDIN‘S LAMP finished 0.5 lengths behind NAVAJO NATION last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Master Of My Fate won his only attempt over this C&D. He is an honest individual and can notch up his seventh-career victory.

NAVAJO NATION found one too good in the form of Ahead Of The Facts in the Grade 3 New Turf Carriers Western Cape Stayers last time. He won a good race over 2000m on this course in his penultimate outing. He always gives of his best and merits healthy respect.

ROYAL INVITATION has won her last two starts with ease, the latest of which was in the Listed TAB Spook Express Stakes. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is in a good space and with luck in running, she can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 8

THE ULTIMATE KING stumbled leaving the start last time and produced a strong finish when second in the Grade 3 Betway London News Stakes. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts over this C&D. If getting away on terms, he can return to winning ways.

OLIVIA‘S WAY finished 1.8 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her.

CHOISAANADA returned to winning ways over 1600m on this course last time. He raced from a handy position, found extra and kept all challengers at bay. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back, and he cannot be discounted.

Race 9

GREATERIX stayed on when fifth over 1600m on this course last time. The son of Vercingetorix won his only attempt over this C&D. On best form shown, he can return to winning ways.

BUSSTOPINHOUNSLOW ran a fair race in the Grade 3 Betway London News Stakes last time. He finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate outing. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

ALMOND SEA has good consistent form lines to her credit. She should have finished closer to the winner over 1450m on the Inside course last time. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of nine, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 10

PLAY WITH THE WIND was a beaten odds-on favourite when second over 1450m on the Inside course last time. She won a good race in her penultimate outing over 1200m at the Vaal. The daughter of Elusive Fort is likely to race on the speed and she may be hard to peg back.

CAPTAIN SELVIE lasted long enough when winning her last start over this C&D. She finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

MISS NOVAX was touched off in her last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. She is drawn on the outside of the course and if keeping on a straight line, she can go one better.
