Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 20th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
JUNIPER GREEN showed good speed and lasted long enough when winning her last start over 1200m on this course. The drop to 1000m should not pose a concern. 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia retains the ride, and she can follow up with another victory.
BANYAN found betting support when winning on debut over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Flower Alley takes on stronger, but he could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
ROAMING SPIRIT produced good form lines before given an 18-week break. She finished third in her only attempt over this distance. If not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 2
NIGHT BOMBER ran a good race when third in the Listed Betway Spring Spree Stakes last time. He showed good speed before getting outrun late. The drop to 1000m should not pose a concern and he may be the horse to side with.
GIMMETHEGOODLIFE has good recent form lines to his credit. He was caught late over 1200m on this course last time. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
KARATE KID finished 2.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He has won three times, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. The son of Erupt cannot be discounted.
Race 3
MO MENT was an easy winner of his last start over 3000m on this course. He set the pace, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The son of Royal Mo is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. He is clearly in a good space and may be the one to beat.
LUCE VERDE fought hard for his last victory over 2000m on this course. He tries the 2600m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should pose a threat.
BREEZE OVER finished 10.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough to turn the form around, but he should finish closer as a result.
Race 4
EIFFEL TOWER ran a fair race over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He has finished second once and third twice from as many starts on this course. The son of Potala Palace should have no issues with the rise to 2000m and with a bit of luck in running, he may be the horse to cause the upset.
GIMMEACHOICE was an easy winner of his last start over this distance at the Vaal. He raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AMERICAN REBEL has shown signs of needing his last two starts. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this distance. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back and he should be cherry-ripe.
Race 5
KING‘S EXPRESS is better than his last start as he received a bump at the 800m mark and was reported to be not striding out. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. Apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. On previous form, he may be the one to beat.
FIRE ‘N FLAMES is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Callan Murray takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
HOTARUBI finished 1.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 6
BJORN IRONSIDE looked a threat over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish third. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. S’manga Khumalo takes the ride and he may be able to get the best out of the son of Gimmethegreenlight.
PENNSYLVANIA showed good speed when winning his last start over this distance at the Vaal. He does have work to do at the weights, but is in a good space and should be competitive.
MYSTICAL MISS took her chances in the Grade 2 World Pool With Race Coast Debutante last time. She carries a handy galloping mass of 52.5kgs and should give a good account of herself.
Race 7
MASTER CHRISTMAS was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1400m at the Vaal. Two of his five career victories have come over this distance. 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Samo- Burthia retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory.
PLAYER stayed on when fourth over 1450m on this course last time. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of eight and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
COMMAND PILOT finished 1.4 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 8
GERBERA ran on from last when having to overcome the widest draw in the Grade 2 Tote Woolavington 2000 last time. She returns from a 17-week break and makes her seasonal debut. She won her only attempt on this course and has won her only attempt over this distance. Her best form has come under Craig Zackey and she should produce a positive return.
PARISIAN WALKWAY returns from a 17-week break and makes his seasonal debut. He has won twice and finished third twice from six starts over this distance. If not in need of the run, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.
SOLAR SAIL stayed on when fourth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He finished third in his only C&D attempt. He jumps from a good draw of four and must be considered
