Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 21st February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
ONCEINABLUEMOON‘S last two starts have been fair. It must be noted that Trail Runner has come out and won since, as well as the second place finisher. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off her back which will assist her cause. She will be running on and can shed her maiden tag.
WINGS OF KILDRA showed speed over 1200m at the Vaal last time before getting caught late by Fiery Frolic. The daughter of Legislate has scope and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
GATHERING WINTER is having her first run for the Brett Webber stable. If finding the form of her penultimate outing, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 2
RABBLE ROUSER is an unraced daughter of Rafeef from the Sean Tarry stable with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Beware The Bomb. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
TIGER‘S CAPTAIN showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He found one too good in the form of Space Mission that day. Julius Mariba retains the ride and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be the first raced runner past the post.
WILLOW CHARM ran a fair race over this C&D last time. The son of Willow Magic is fitted with the blinkers which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Craig Zackey may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 3
BUFFALO STORM CODY was not beaten far in the Grade 1 World Pool Cape Flying Championship last time. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is unbeaten from three starts over this C&D. Gavin Lerena knows him well and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
WILLIAM ROBERTSON‘S last start is best ignored. He has won three times, finished second three times and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he should go close.
MAIN DEFENDER returns from a lengthy 47-week break. He has won seven times from ten starts on this course. This outing will bring him on for future races but he has class, and cannot be discounted.
Race 4
POETS WARRIOR was an easy winner over this C&D last time. He set the pace, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Despite giving away weight to the rest of the field, he can follow up with another victory.
ENFLAME won his last start over this C&D easier than the official margin suggests. The son of Irish Flame is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.
UNITED COUNCIL is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. Four of her six career victories have come over this C&D. On best form shown, she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
BLIZZARD SNOW ran a fair race over this C&D last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She has won twice and finished second three times from eight starts over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which will assist her cause. She will be finishing strongly and can return to winning ways.
BELIEVE IN FATE ran a good race when third over 1200m at the Vaal last time. He was carded to race on 12 February 2026 but was withdrawn. If all goes according to plan, he should be the first male past the post.
AFRICAN PRINCE found one too good in the form of Vibe Sa last time. Ryan Munger steps into the saddle and if not too far out of his ground at the halfway mark, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 6
LITTLE BALLERINA ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. She showed good speed but found one too good in the form of Taxi To The Moon. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She may be the one to side with in this line-up.
RIFLE QUEEN was an easy winner of her last start over 1160m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and with 54kgs on her back, she should pose a threat.
POBLANO won her last start over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. She received a six-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and cannot be discounted.
Race 7
WILD JUSTICE hails from the visiting Gareth van Zyl stable. He has won four of his five career efforts to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix has class about him and if all went well with his travels, he should be the horse to beat.
ZALATORIS finished 0.3 lengths behind THE LAST DUKE last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Erik The Red gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand.
THE LAST DUKE won a good race over 1200m at the Vaal last time. He would have come on from the outing and should be involved at the finish.
Race 8
TOO LATE MY MATE has not finished too far off the winner in her last two starts. She raced from a prominent position over 1400m at the Vaal last time and stayed on to finish fourth. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She is having her peak run today and can return to winning ways.
SCARLETT HEART won her last start over this C&D easier than the official margin suggests. She is in a good space and should pose a massive threat.
PRINCESS ILARIA is better than her last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. On her previous form, she is a solid back-up for the Fanie Bronkhorst stable.
Race 9
SIKELOI is a progressive individual and won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over this C&D last time. She moved up well and kept finding all the way to the line. The daughter of Skitt Skizzle takes on stronger, but she looks to have ability and may be up to the task at hand.
PEARL IN HER CROWN produced a strong finish when winning her last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. She finished 0.05 lengths behind PARIS FUN in her penultimate effort. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
PARIS FUN has some good recent form lines to her credit. She is having her peak run and will be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Futura will be doing her best work at the finish
