Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 19th March where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

TWELFTH OF NEVER is one of the better bets on today’s programme. She produced a good comeback run when third over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She jumped inwards leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. In this small field, she should take a power of beating.

VIXENINTHEVINEYARD has good recent form lines to her name. She had excuses in her last start over 2000m on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of What A Winter may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

BLOOD OF EDEN finished 5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 2

TERRENCE found one too good in the form of Stokesy last time. The son of New Predator is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1800m. Gavin Lerena steps into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

ROYALE JACKET finished 1.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

SAMUEL SHARPE has finished fourth in his last two starts after gelding. The son of Flower Alley is a progressive type and gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson. He will be at peak fitness and cannot be discounted.

Race 3

MAJOR ARCANA stayed on after a slow start over 1450m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Kambati. The son of Ideal World would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He jumps from pole position and if getting away on terms, he can shed his maiden tag in this field.

BRIGITTE ANNE set the pace over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time before getting caught late by Falconfly. The daughter of Querari drops to 1200m. Keagan de Melo is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.

TIGER’S CAPTAIN showed good improvement in his last start over 1160m on the Standside course. The son of Trippi is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If confirming his recent improvement, he should have a say.

Race 4

TRIP OF FAITH ran a fair race on debut over 1450m on this course. She set the pace, lacked extra late and was reported to be blowing. The daughter of Master Of My Fate found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. She would have come on from the outing and may enjoy racing over this distance. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

MISS RIVER DANCER was slow into stride on debut, raced green but stayed on nicely at the finish. The daughter of Summa Cum Laude would have come on from the run and should love the rise to 1200m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should pose a threat.

TAKEACHANCEONME was in need of her debut effort over 1160m on the Standside course. She would have gained from the experience and can improve to finish in the placings.

Race 5

BJORN IRONSIDE has good consistent form lines to his credit. He was slow into stride over 1160m last time, but stayed on to finish second. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is the best-weighted runner in this contest and should be the one to beat.

TINTIN followed up his maiden win with an impressive victory over 1400m on the Standside course. He showed a good turn of foot that day and drew clear of the opposition. He looks to have class about him and can bring up the hat-trick. He is carded to race on 12 March 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

DRIVELIKEAMASTER ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. His pilot dropped his crop at the 100m mark that day. With luck in running, he should be competitive.

Race 6

PAUL REVERE was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1400m at the Vaal. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has finished second once and third twice from as many starts over this C&D. Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson takes the 4kgs off his back and from a good draw of two, he can follow up with another victory.

FOSTINOVO fought back well when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. Keagan de Melo is likely to adopt the same tactics and he may be hard to peg back.

ENSUING stayed on when third over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. He is drawn in pole position and cannot be ignored.

Race 7

BAY EMPIRE has shown good improvement in his last two starts. He stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The son of Fire Away takes a drop in class and may be the one to side with. He is carded to race on 12 March 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

MICHAEL FARADAY stayed on when third over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He is drawn awkwardly once again and with luck in running, he should pose a threat.

BLOOMINGTON ran a good race when third over 1400m at the Vaal last time. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from nine starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 8

LADY ELLIOT should have finished closer to the winner last time. She raced wide around the turn without cover and did not go on with the effort. The daughter of Erupt won her only attempt over this C&D. She drops back in class and should give the males a run for their money.

UNSOLVED RIDDLE was running on too late when second over 1600m on this course last time. He drops to 1450m and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can go one better.

ELUSIVE RED stayed on when fourth over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. Craig Zackey retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 9

REPETITION is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. His two efforts prior to that on the Highveld were eye- catching. He takes a drop in class and with luck in running, he may be the one to beat.

REAL STUNNER has produced two fair runs since winning his maiden over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He has cracked pole position and is one of the leading contenders.

CARNELO has finished second in his last three starts. He set the pace over 1600m on this course last time before getting outrun late by Fully Loaded. With a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be involved at the finish
