Race 2
CATFISH has produced three good runs to date. The son of Danon Platina gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which will assist his cause. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
RUBY WHISPER has run three fair races to date. It must be noted that multiple horses from her last form line have come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
SKIZZLE DRUM ran a fair race on debut over this distance on the Standside course. The son of Skitt Skizzle would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 3

THE BACHELORETTE is an unraced daughter of William Longsword from the Sean Tarry stable with Keagan de Melo in the saddle. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
LOVE NOT WAR is a daughter of Act Of War from the Stuart Pettigrew stable and Diego De Gouveia rides. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 4
PALACE SCRIPT should have finished closer to the winner over this C&D last time. She was reported to be distressed that day. The daughter of Futura is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
EMERALD COUNTESS was a tad disappointing over 1160m on the Standside course last time. It must be noted that Trail Runner and the second-place horse have come out and won since. If finding the form of her penultimate outing, she should be right there.
EMERALD FORGE was a tad disappointing over this distance last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If finding her earlier form, she should be involved at the finish.
Race 5
KING HARALD is better than his last start in the Grade 2 TAB Gauteng Guineas. He finished second in his penultimate run over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. He is the class horse in this contest and on best form shown, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
A BIT OF CLASS returns from a 21-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and if not in need of this outing, she should give the males a run for their money.
BRISTOL HERCULES set the pace over 1450m on this course last time before getting outrun by Speedman. He has won once, finished second once and third three times from six starts over this distance. He has work to do at the weights but cannot be discounted.
Race 6

FIRE STORM made the expected natural improvement when winning his last start over 1400m on the Standside course. The son of Pathfork takes on stronger, but he has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
