Race 1
READ ALL ABOUT IT tried hard when beaten a neck over this distance on the Inside course last time. It must be noted that The Ultimate King has come out and won the Grade 3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes since. He is having his third run after a rest and should be cherry-ripe. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and can go one better.
DON‘T CRY FOR ME is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes. He is the highest rated horse in this contest and merits healthy respect.
DANCE KING won a good race over this distance at the Vaal last time. Serino Moodley retains the ride and the combination merit obvious consideration.
Race 2
WINDS OF GRACE is still a maiden after 11 starts. She challenged strongly over this distance at the Vaal last time, but found one too good in the form of Al Greenga. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which should assist her cause. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can shed her maiden tag.
UTSAAH has shown improvement in each of her races to date. She was doing her best work late when third over this C&D last time. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.
HUBERTUS HUNT showed massive improvement when second over this distance at the Vaal last time. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. If confirming her recent improvement, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 3
JAFFA produced a promising debut effort over this distance at the Vaal. He took time to find his feet, but stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The son of The United States would have gained from the experience and with luck in running, he can go one better.
FORCE PUBLIQUE challenged strongly when third over this distance at the Vaal last time. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and he is one of the leading contenders.
GAVIUS MAXIMUS found one too good in the form of Onetwobucklemyshoe last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He jumps from pole position and merits healthy respect.
Race 4
STOKESY showed good improvement when third over 1700m at the Vaal last time. He raced from a handy position, moved up before getting outrun late. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and over the extra 100m on offer, he may be the one to beat.
REAL STUNNER finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
ANAHITA has produced two good runs to date. She took the lead at the 500m mark last time before getting caught late by Grace’s Kiss. The daughter of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the extra distance on offer, and she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
DOITWITHDIAMONDS finished 1.5 lengths behind ACCEPT COOKIES last time. She is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won twice and finished second twice from six starts on this course. Apprentice Savanna Valjalo takes the 4kgs off her back and she may be the one to side with.
ACCEPT COOKIES was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1700m at the Vaal. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.
DIMAKO‘S JET finished 2.55 lengths behind KEY WORKER last time. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 6
HOLLYWOOD MADAM finished 2.5 lengths behind LADY BLUNT last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She finished third in her only attempt over this distance. Apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto is likely to use her early gate speed to overcome the awkward draw of nine and she may be hard to peg back.
LADY BLUNT is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1700m at the Vaal. The daughter of Quasillo is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
ANNEWITHAN E stayed on strongly when fifth over this distance at the Vaal last time. She returns from a 14-week break which may have done her the world of good. She runs well for Gavin Lerena and with luck in running, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 7
STARS AND BRA‘S ran a good race when third over 1200m on the Inside course last time. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the business end. She has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. The daughter of New Predator is having her peak run today and can return to winning ways.
LET‘S GO LOLA finished 0.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. She is carded to race on 29 November 2025 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.
GREEN FLASH won a good race over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo retains the ride and she can follow up with another victory.
Race 8
QUIET WINTER was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this C&D last time. She jumped inwards leaving the start, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of What A Winter takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
CAPTAIN SELVIE showed signs of needing her comeback run over this C&D. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
SEASON‘S GREETINGS followed up her maiden win with a creditable fourth-place finish over 1200m on the Inside course. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. She is a filly with scope and can feature
