MIND OVER YOU is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the James Crawford stable with Mickaelle Michel booked to ride. She is related to multiple winners including Mind Master and Alesian Chief. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.
Race 2
MORDECHAI produced an encouraging debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He should have finished closer to the winner as he hung inwards in the final 300m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of Hawwaam would have gained from the experience and should love the extra 250m on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
CALIFORNIA CAT is a son of Futura from the Lucinda Woodruff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Celtic Voyager and Calvary. If not in need of the experience, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
PLATINUM GREY returns from a 16-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Danon Platina has scope and can show good improvement.
Race 3
SPANISH WORLD showed good improvement when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. The daughter of One World is a progressive type and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.
NTIBINDI ran a creditable race when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that Before Sunrise and the second-place horse have come out and won since. If jumping on terms, she should pose a threat.
ODDS AND EVENS has shown good improvement in each of her races to date. She was outrun when second over 1200m last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She is a solid back-up for the Justin Snaith stable.

QUIET PLACE finished 2.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He should get a good run in transit from Barrier Two and cannot be discounted.
Race 5
THE BIG BANG was slow into stride over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time, but stayed on to finish second. His effort when third over 1200m, three runs ago was encouraging. The son of One World meets the right field and if getting away on terms, he may be the one to beat.
PROTECTOR OF PEACE finished 0.4 lengths behind RACHETTU last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D and is one of the leading contenders.
RACHETTU showed speed over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time but found one too good in the form of Coffee Crunch. He is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Craig Zackey who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 6
DEVIL A SAINT has finished second in his last two starts. He raced from a handy position over 1400m last time before getting outrun late by Clark Griswold. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this C&D. The son of Querari drops in class and from pole position, he can go one better.
RED DAWN finished 1.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
SMART HORSE was not beaten far over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He gets the services of Mickaelle Michel who takes the 1.5kgs off his back. The son of Heavenly Blue may be hard to peg back. consideration.

ONE MAGIC won a good race on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He showed a good turn of foot and drew off at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The son of One World takes on stronger, but could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
AVIGNON’S last three starts have been good. He showed speed last time before getting outrun late. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
PRINCE OF TIBET finished 2.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 8
KING REGENT lost a length leaving the start in the Non-Black Type Winter Sprint last time, but stayed on to finish second. The son of Dynasty is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane which will assist his cause. If getting away on terms, he can return to winning ways.
DANCE VARIETY is better than his last start in the Grade 3 Champagne Stakes. He returns from a 10-week break which may have done him the world of good. On the form of his penultimate run, he should be competitive.
BEWARE returns from a 14-week break, during which time he was gelded. He has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. The son of Rafeef will be mowing down the frontrunners and cannot be discounted
