UNCUT GEM stayed on when third over 1000m on the polytrack against male company last time. She finished 0.5 lengths behind the second choice in her penultimate run. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
RACE 2
QUEEN OF CASTILLE finished 0.2 lengths behind MONKEY‘S WEDDING last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights which is enough to turn the form around. The daughter of Gold Standard should get a good run in transit from pole position and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
MONKEY’S WEDDING has consistent form to his name. He has finished third on this course previously. He does have an awkward draw to overcome, but Chad Little knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
INDESTRUCTABLE finished 0.95 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He finished second under Craig Zackey in his penultimate effort.
RACE 3
LADY ELLIOT produced a good first run in the Eastern Cape over this distance on the polytrack. She was doing her best work at the finish that day. The daughter of Erupt drops in class and the cheekpieces should keep her mind on the task at hand. The booking of stable Jockey Craig Zackey is a big plus, and she can go one better.
RULES OF CONDUCT is better than his last start in the Listed Konica Minolta SA ROA Stakes. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody runs well for Richard Fourie and on best form shown, he may pose a threat.
RIP WHEELER showed signs of a form return when fourth over 1200m on the polytrack last time. The son of Fire Away may enjoy racing on this track and from pole position, he may be hard to peg back.
RACE 4
QONDANEKUKHANYENI has fair consistent form to her name. She stayed on when third over 1600m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Global View has dropped to a competitive rating and will enjoy racing on the turf. She should get a good run in transit from pole position and can return to winning ways.
PRETTY AWESOME was running on when second over 1600m on the polytrack last time. She finished third over 1000m on this course in her penultimate run behind Carnival. She should be ideally suited to this distance and with luck from the widest draw, she can go close.
REDLIGHT LANE was an easy winner of her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but she is in a good space and may be up to the task at hand.
RACE 5
TOO LATE MY MATE was given a strong ride when winning her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Master Of My Fate should get a good run in transit from Barrier Two and she can follow up.
DYNALLEY won a game race over this distance on the polytrack last time. He finished 1.05 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
AUGUSTA ROSSO showed signs of needing her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this C&D. The daughter of Erik The Red will strip much fitter and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, she can earn another cheque.
RACE 6
SILVAN MISTRESS stumbled leaving the start over 1400m on this course last time, but finished off her race strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won again since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate won her only attempt over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Varun Jodhee which will assist her cause. She is having her peak run and can notch up her fifth-career victory.
WAIT FOR ME is the stable companion of the top choice. She should have finished closer last time as she hung inwards in the final 300m. She will enjoy racing on the turf and if keeping on a straight line, she should go close.
OCEAN FLAME kept finding to win her last start over 1900m on the polytrack. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. She does take on stronger, but is in a good space and should give a good account of herself.
RACE 7
AIN‘T NO SUNSHINE ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this distance on the polytrack. That was his first outing for the Alan Greeff stable and multiple horses from the form line have come out and won since. The son of What A Winter is the stable elect with Richard Fourie aboard. He does take on stronger, but may have gained in confidence and can follow up.
WINTER IN LONDON finished 1.75 lengths behind BANDMASTER last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. If not too far out of his ground, he should pose a threat.
REAL WAR won a good race over 1400m on the polytrack last time. His record on this course is a slight concern, but he is in a good space and cannot be discounted.
RACE 8
RED BIRCH followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. She showed good pace and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. The daughter of Erik The Red has plenty of scope and against a similar line-up, she can notch up the hat-trick.
MIDNIGHT MUSIC was running on when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Oratorio will be mowing down the frontrunners.
LIGHTSCAMERAACTION made the expected natural improvement when victorious over this distance on the polytrack last time. The well-bred daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand
