Winning Form selections for Fairview on Wednesday 1st July where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

SOUNDSOFSYMPHONIES returns from a 13-week break and is having his first outing for the Kelly Mitchley stable. His debut effort when 4.4 lengths behind Querari Dancer in the Non-Black Type Futurity Plate, catches the eye. Apprentice Bavish Soodoo takes the 2.5kgs off his back and if taking to the polytrack, he may have good improvement to come.

LOVE FROM AFAR found one too good in the form of Rip Wheeler in his stable debut. He would have come on from the outing and in this field, he should go close.

GOOD SHINE ran a fair race when third over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Legislate runs well for Malesela Katjedi, and he can earn another cheque for his patrons.

RACE 2

STRANGE MAGIC took on stronger company in her last start over 1200m on this course. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Apprentice Wilmien Fourie takes the 4kgs off her back and on best form shown, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure. She is carded to race on 26 June 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

SWEET JULIA is better than her last start over 1200m. She has won once and finished second three times from five starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WINTERONTHEGREEN showed good speed and stayed on when third over this C&D last time. Apprentice Bavish Soodoo takes the 2.5kgs off her back which will assist her cause. She is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.

RACE 3

RARE EARTH is having her first run in the Eastern Cape for Trainer Dean Smith. She has finished second over this distance previously. Stable Jockey Craig Zackey does duty and if taking to the polytrack, she may be the one to beat in this line-up.

SABRAGE showed good improvement when third over 1900m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. If confirming that effort, he should be competitive.

BUGLE is better than his last start over 1800m on this course. He finished second in his previous two efforts over this C&D. He jumps from a good draw of three and would not be a shock winner.

RACE 4

GREEK HEIRESS has relocated to the Eastern Cape and is having her first outing for the Kelly Mitchley stable. She was a tad disappointing in her last start over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. The booking of Craig Zackey is a big plus and on best form shown, she may be the one to beat.

KIM KAY ran on when second over 1400m on this course last time. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Futura will love the rise to the mile and she should fight out the finish.

PRICELESS TREASURE is better than her last start over this C&D. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. On her consistent previous form, she should feature.

RACE 5

HOMING PIGEON finished 0.75 lengths behind HELIOTROPE last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. She finished third in her only attempt over this distance. If getting away on terms, she can return to winning ways.

HELIOTROPE was given a peach of a ride when winning the Non-Black Type Wedgewood Handicap last time. She received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

BACK FOR MORE is the stable companion of the top choice. She ran a fair race over 1600m on this course last time. If putting her best foot forward, she would not be a surprise winner.

Race 6

JAPANESE GARDEN stayed on when second over this C&D last time. The daughter of Danon Platina has dropped to a competitive rating. She is drawn widest of all but Marco van Rensburg knows her well and should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

DAFFODIL DELIGHT is better than her last start in the Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes. She finished third over this C&D in her penultimate run. She is carded to race on 26 June 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

ICED MARMALADE has shown signs of needing her last two outings. She faced stronger over 1200m last time. The daughter of Danon Platina will be at peak fitness and we can expect to see an improved performance.

RACE 7

EUGENIUS won his local debut over 1200m on this course. He took the lead at the 600m mark and held on where it matters most. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Vercingetorix takes on stronger, but from his good draw of three, he can follow up.

EL CAPITAN has fair recent form to his name. He should have finished closer last time as he had to be eased at the 100m mark. With a bit of luck in running, he should pose a massive threat.

SUSURRANDO tried hard when third over 1400m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Wayne Agrella retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

RACE 8

BLUE PALACE finished 0.1 lengths behind ENDEARED last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. If getting away on terms, she can return to winning ways.

ENDEARED won a game race over 1600m on this course last time. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She has cracked a good draw of two and can follow up.

KAMAKAZI showed good improvement when third over this C&D last time. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from five starts over this track and trip. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should have a say
