PREUX CHAVALIER was disappointing in his last start over 1600m. The son of Rafeef should have no issues with the rise to 2000m. On the form of his penultimate run, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 2
PREDATOR‘S CROWN raced from a handy position over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Celtic Moon. The daughter of New Predator meets the right field. She is drawn widest of all, but Sean Veale knows her well and he should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
BLAZING BELLE is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She finished third in her penultimate outing over 1200m on the polytrack. She steps up to 1400m and if getting away on terms, she should pose a threat.
YEAH BABY finished 1.3 lengths behind the second selection in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms this evening and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 3
WAR EMPEROR finished 0.6 lengths behind DANUBE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights this evening and that should be enough to turn the form around. The son of Act Of War is having his peak run for his new stable and may be the one to side with.
DANUBE ran a good honest race when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He is likely to get his own way in front once again and may be hard to peg back.
ULTRA QUICK did not go on with the effort over 1600m on the polytrack last time. Two of his seven career victories have come over this distance. With luck from his awkward draw, he can earn another cheque.
Race 4
This is a competitive Class 4 event and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is WAR REPORTER from the Sean Tarry stable. He moved up like a winner over 1600m at the Vaal last time before getting caught late by Gran Canaria. The son of Vercingetorix returns from an 11-week break which may have done him the world of good. If taking to this course, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
ZAGREB found betting support when third over 1600m on this course last time. He was beaten under a length in his penultimate outing over this C&D. With luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
DRICUS found one too good in the form of Klein Karoo last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If getting away on terms, he should be competitive.
Race 5
BANGKOK MAGIC got up late when winning his last start over 1200m on the polytrack. It must be noted that Who Blinked has come out and won again since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to 1400m. Keagan de Melo retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
BEYOND ALL DOUBT should have finished closer over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He runs well for Chad Little and with luck, he should go close.

He has won twice and finished second once from five starts on this course. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests he will not have any issues with the rise to 2000m. From pole position, he is the horse to side with.
UZWANO ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He finished 0.6 lengths behind MASTER DU ROUVRAY in his penultimate effort. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights tonight and should turn the form around.
