BANGKOK MAGIC is an unraced son of Willow Magic from the Justin Snaith stable with JP van der Merwe booked to ride. He is related to five-time winner Mai Sensation. VULCAN ROCK has not shown much promise to date. He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Erupt steps up to 1400m and with Keagan de Melo retaining the ride, he may have improvement to come.
Race 4
THELEIA set the pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time before getting touched off by Little Nimbus. The daughter of Querari meets the right field and Keagan de Melo may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
RARE EARTH finished 5.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
PACIFIC WATERS has shown signs of needing her last two starts. She should be at peak fitness and gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Varun Jodhee. On best form shown, she would not be a shock winner.
Race 5
LE CONCIERGE ran a fair race over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of Querari drops to 1200m which may be ideal. He is the stable elect with JP van der Merwe in the saddle. He has scope and can show good improvement.
PROTECTOR OF PEACE was reported to be fatigued last time. It must be noted that Bonelli has come out and won again since. The son of Royal Mo gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE showed guts when winning her maiden over 1200m. She raced on the speed and fought back well. The daughter of Rafeef would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. She does take on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
SOUTH OF FRANCE has finished second in both her post maiden efforts. It must be noted that the form of her last run has been franked. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

Race 9
MASTERONTHEMOON showed good improvement when third over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to 2000m. He is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
PHANTOM MAN was his own worst enemy last time as he over raced in the early stages. He is a horse who likes to get his own way in front. If all goes according to plan, he may be hard to peg back.
FROM THE GET GO should have finished closer last time as he was steadied for running room at the 200m mark. The son of Gimmethegreenlight tries the 2000m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may have more to come
