Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 25th July where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

SKITT SMILING produced an encouraging debut effort over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. He was slow into stride, understandably raced green but stayed on nicely at the business end. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since.

The son of Skitt Skizzle would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to side with.

RHYTHMIC QUEEN was reported to be coughing on debut. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have come on from the run and should love the rise in distance. Craig Zackey rides and there should be good improvement to come from her.

KING SOLOMON showed improvement when fourth over 1160m on this course. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1400m. He may have more to come.

Race 2

LIGHTINTHEWOODS has produced three good runs to date. She stayed on when second over 1160m on this course last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will love the rise to 1400m.

She meets the right field and should take a power of beating. TREX ON FIRE did not go on with the effort over 1600m on the Inside course last time. She is a filly with scope and in this field, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

EMPRESS OF PEACE finished 1.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 3

MOUNT DARWIN justified favouritism when victorious over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Jacey Botes retains the ride and the combination can follow up.

KUDZU ran a fair race over this distance on the Inside course last time. He has won twice and finished third once from seven starts over this distance. He is likely to race on the pace once again and may be hard to peg back.

EIGER SANCTION stayed on when third over 1800m on this course last time. He finished 1.8 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 4

GEOSTORM finished 1.3 lengths behind WINTER IN AUCKLAND last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody has plenty of scope and may be the one to side with.

WINTER IN AUCKLAND showed speed when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of What A Winter is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

KIA KAHA is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. The cheekpieces have done the trick on the daughter of Var. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and she can notch up the hat-trick.

Race 5

PLUS FOUR was an easy winner over this C&D last time. Despite being slow into stride, he showed a good turn of foot and won going away. He received a seven-pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and can follow up.

UMZINGELI WENYATHI finished 2 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

ESPINOZA raced from just off the pace over 1160m on this course last time and stayed on to finish third. He has won once and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. He always gives of his best and cannot be discounted.

Race 6

QUICKFREEZE set the pace over 1600m at the Vaal last time before getting outrun late. He finished 1.8 lengths behind BRISTOL HERCULES in his penultimate run.

He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. The cheekpieces are re-fitted and he can notch up his third-career victory.

BRISTOL HERCULES is better than his last start over a mile. He has won three times, finished second twice and third once from ten starts over this distance. From pole position, he should produce another honest performance.

Race 7

CAPE SAFFRON finished 1 length behind AMERICAN BEAUTY last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around.

She has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. She is having her peak run and will be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Flower Alley will be running on and she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

AMERICAN BEAUTY was outrun late when second over this distance at the Vaal last time. She will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.

Race 8

WINDS OF GRACE jumped inwards leaving the start last time, but stayed on to finish third. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She is a consistent individual and if getting away on terms, she may be the one to beat.

FIERY FROLIC stayed on when fifth over 1160m on this course last time. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. She does have an awkward draw to overcome, but gets the services of Craig Zackey who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

WINTER VOICE ran a fair race when third over 1600m on the Inside course last time. The daughter of Elusive Fort has plenty of scope and should give another good account of herself
