Wales:

Huge underdogs Wales were given around 28.5 points start on the main handicap line for their opening 6N match against England at Twickenham and it was nowhere near enough as they crashed and burned 48-7. They conceded 7 tries in total and their only points came from a Josh Adams try on 51 minutes, converted by Dan Edwards.

Wales had a really poor 6 Nations in 2025, finishing with the wooden spoon after losing all their matches, in France (43-0) and Italy (22-15), at home to Ireland 27-18) and in Scotland (35-29) before being thrashed by England in Cardiff (68-14).

In the Six Nations outright betting Hollywoodbets have Wales priced as 7/20 favourites to finish with the wooden spoon.

Results and Fixtures: R1 England (a) lost 48-7, R2 France (h), R3 Scotland (h), R4 Ireland (a), R5 Italy (h)

France:

France are the defending champions and they came into their Round 1 clash with Ireland in Paris as favourites, trading at around -13.5 points on the main handicap line. They scored the first 29 points of the game and went on to win 36-14, scoring 3 tries in the first half, one at the start of the second and another at the death to secure the maximum 5 log points. Louis Bielle-Biarrey scored 2 tries and the others came from Matthieu Jalibert, Charles Ollivon and Theo Attissogbe with Thomas Ramos landing 4 conversions and a penalty.

In the Six Nations last year France were crowned champions. They started with a 43-0 home win over Wales and their only defeat came against England at Twickenham (26-25). They won 74-23 in Italy and 42-27 in Ireland before sealing the title with a 35-16 home win over Scotland, finishing 1 point clear of England and 2 better off than Ireland.

In the Six Nations outright betting Hollywoodbets have France priced up as 9/20 favourites to retain the title and 9/10 to complete the Grand Slam
