Matchday 2 Tuesday 3rd October

Group A

FC Copenhagen 11.42/1 Draw 6.07/1 Bayern 1 / 5

FC Copenhagen came through qualifying without defeat and they came close to making a winning start at Galatasaray on Matchday 1. They led 2-0 before being reduced to 10 men and Gala scored two very late goals for a 2-2 draw.

Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot as Bayern beat Manchester United 4-3 in Munich. Bayern led 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 in a victory that was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests. Bayern came through last season's group stage with a 100% record and they are unbeaten with 4 wins and 2 draws in Bundesliga which puts them in third spot, 2 points off the pace being set by Leverkusen.

Man United 9/20 Draw 3.85/1 Galatasary 5.62/1

United's goals in the 4-3 defeat in Munich came from Hojland early in the second half and 2 from Casemiro late on. They were second best for much that game and after losing 3 of their last 4 league games they are in mid table in the EPL.

Galatasaray came through 3 rounds of qualifying unbeaten to reach the group stage and it was Boey and Tete who rescued a point at home to Copenhagen.

Group B

PSV even money Draw 2.62/1 Sevilla 27/10

PSV came through qualifying including a 7-3 aggregate win over Glasgow Rangers but they crashed to a 4-0 defeat at Arsenal on Matchday 1, conceding 3 times in the first half.

Sevilla finished third in the group last season and went on to win the Europa League title. They started with a 1-1 draw at home to Lens with Ocampus giving them an early lead but they were soon pegged back. They average 1 point per game in La Liga and lost 1-0 to Barca at the weekend.

Lens 4.45/1 Draw 3.22/1 Arsenal 6/10

Lens came away from Sevilla with a 1-1 draw with Fulgini grabbing their equalizer midway through the first half. Lens had a nightmare start to their Ligue 1 season, taking just 1 point from 5 matches but they have won their last 2 domestically.

Saka, Trossard, Jesus and Odegaard were the Arsenal scorers against PSV and having put Bournemouth away 4-0 at the weekend the Gunners are unbeaten in the EPL with 5 wins and 2 draws, good enough for third spot, 1 point off the pace being set by Man City.

Group C

Napoli 1.62/1 Draw 26/10 Real Madrid 1.56/1

Napoli began with a 2-1 win away to Braga with Di Lorenzo giving them the lead on the stroke of half time and after Braga clawed their way back a late own goal sealed the win. After a slow start to their defence of the Serie A title Napoli have won back to back league games to move up to third, 4 points behind the 2 Milan clubs.

Real, who lost their UCL title last season when they went out to Manchester City at the semi final stage, needed an injury time goal from Bellingham to see off Union Berlin 1-0 in Madrid on Matchday 1. Real have won 7 and lost 1 of their La Liga matches and they are 1 point clear of Barca at the top of the log.

Union Berlin 9/10 Draw 2.66/1 Braga 3.05/1

Union Berlin rode their luck for much of the game in Madrid but were denied a point at the death. They won their first 2 Bundesliga matches but have since suffered 4 consecutive defeats.

Braga came through qualifying, most recently beating Panathinaikos home and away to go through 3-1 on aggregate and that late own goal saw them go down 2-1 at home to Napoli on Matchday 1.

Group D

Inter 8/10 Draw 2.84/1 Benfica 3.35/1

Having finished as runners up last season, losing the final to Manchester City Inter needed a late Martinez equalizer to rescue a point from their opening match away to Real Sociedad. Inter have 6 wins and 1 defeat in Serie A this season and set the pace with AC Milan at the top of the standings.

Benfica are playing catch up after a surprise 2-0 home defeat to Salzburg on Matchday 1 when they paid the price for Antonio Silva's early red card. Last season Inter knocked Benfica out at the quarter final stage, winning the first leg away from home and drawing the return.

Salzburg 18/10 Draw 2.36/1 Real Sociedad 1.53/1

Simic gave Salzburg an early lead from the penalty spot away to 10 man Benfica and Gloukh sealed the 2-0 win early in the second half. Salzburg finished third in their group last season behind Chelsea and Dortmund, winning 1, drawing 3 and losing 2 of their matches.

Mendez gave Real Sociedad an early lead against Inter and they held that advantage until conceding the equalizer on 87 minutes. Sociedad have won 4 of their last 5 in La Liga to move into fifth spot.

Matchday 2 Tuesday 3rd October Picks with Playabets

100% match on your first deposit up to R2000 for new customers

Lens v Arsenal

Lens have been improving but I doubt they can hold Arsenal and I'm going to take a chance the Gunners will pick them off at least 3 times, hopefully including a goal for Odegaard.

Arsenal total goals over 2.5 at 19/10 with Playabets

Anytime goalscorer Odegaard at 5/2 with Playabets

Napoli v Real Madrid

This is a really tough place to visit and Real will have to be on their game. With both teams having made winning starts I doubt either would be too disappointed with a point from this game.

Match Result Draw at 26/10 with Playabets

Man United v Galatasaray

United need a boost and despite some erratic results it would be a surprise to see them turned over again. I will look to the goalscorer markets and chance my arm with Bruno Fernandes any time.

Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandez at 2/1

Inter v Benfica

Benfica had excuses for their opening game defeat but Inter have done little wrong this season and after dropping points away from home I fancy they can oblige for favourite backers here.

Inter to win at 8/10 with Playabets
