oldtraffordMatchday 6 of the Uefa Champions League gets underway on Tuesday and our focus is on Group A where FC Copenhagen host Galatasaray and Manchester United are at home to Bayern Munich

Group A

Bayern Munich have 13 points and will finish top of this group. Heading into the final FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray both have 5 points and Manchester United have 4

FC Copenhagen 17/10 Draw 11/4 Galatasaray 1.42/1

Any winner here will be assured of the runners spot in the group and a place in the knockout rounds whilst the loser would end up bottom of the group and out of Europe if Man United beat Bayern.

When the teams met in Istanbul on Matchday 1 Copenhagen were 2-0 up and seemingly on their way to maximum points only for Gala to hit back with 2 late goals and it finished all square at 2-2. Since then Copenhagen lost 2-1 at Bayern and 1-0 in Manchester. A 4-3 win in a crazy return with United on home turf revived their hopes and last time out the Danes came away from Munich with a 0-0 draw.

Gala took 4 points off their 2 matches with United, winning 3-2 at Old Trafford and drawing 3-3 in front of their own supporters on Matchday 5. They had no joy in 2 matches against Bayern although they performed with credit in the 2-1 defeat in Munich after losing to the German's 3-1 at home. All 4 of their matches have seen backers of the btts yes and over 2.5 goals combo collect.

The Verdict:

A game of high stakes and a tricky one to call. Stats from Gala matches suggest goals whilst Copenhagen's results range from stalemates to 7 goal thrillers.

There is plenty of scope for drama and I will go with Copenhagens Diogo Goncalves, who scored from the spot in the home win over Man United to pop up with a goal.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Diogo Goncalves at 9/4 with BoyleSports

Man United 1.64/1 Draw 29/10 Bayern Munich 14/10

If United are to progress to the Round of 16 they need a win here and hope the above match in Copenhagen ends in a draw. Victory for United would at least guarantee third spot and a shot at the Europa League and if they lose their European campaign will be over for the season.

Ten Hag is a man under pressure after 2 limp displays in the EPL saw them beaten 1-0 at Newcastle and most recently 3-0 at home to Bournemouth. Either side of that they plaayed well in a 2-1 home win over Chelsea and they are in sixth spot, 6 points shy of fourth placed Manchester City.

United started with 4-3 defeat away to Bayern although they were perhaps flattered by the scoreline and they let a 2-0 and 3-2 lead slip in Copenhagen. United also led 3 times in the 3-3 draw away to Gala last time out whilst the 3-2 home defeat to the Turks looks pretty expensive right now.

Bayern often make a habit of going through the group stage with a 100% record but the 0-0 stalemate with Copenhagen ended their winning streak and last weekend they crashed 5-1 away to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. Bayern are second in their domestic league and that weekend defeat was the first league match they have lost all season.

The Verdict:

That shock hiding in the Bundesliga last weekend could spark a reaction from Bayern but given they are already assured of top spot I'm nervous about calling the match result.

Given United have to win they ought to come out firing and I'l side with over 1.5 goals in the first half.

Harry Kane, anytime is one of the more obvious goalscorer picks

Bets: 1st half total goals over 1.5 at 13/10 with BoyleSports
