In he second T20 at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday England came out on top by 4 wickets. India won the toss and opted to bat first and they posted 190/7. Abhishek Sharma made 43, Ishan Kishan 49 and Shreyas Iyer 37 whilst Sam Curran returned figures of 3/33. India scored 65 runs in the powerplay and hit a total of 7 maximums.
England openers Salt and Buttler both filed to score and lasted a combined total of 4 deliveries. Harry Brook made 39 as did Tom Banton and Jacob Bethell’s unbeaten 76 helped England home with an over to spare. England cleared the ropes 8 times and they scored 61 runs in the powerplay. Arshdeep Singh with 3/40 was the top Indian wicket taker.
