Friday 15th May Lucknow Super Giants v Chennai Super Kings

Venue: Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow

Match Result Betting: LSG 12/10 CSK 7/10

These two sides met last Sunday in Match 53 in Chennai and CSK came out on top by 5 wickets, keeping their play off hopes alive whilst eliminating LSG who now have only pride to play for. LSG posted 203/8  (Josh Inglis 85, Jamie Overton 3/36) but all the CSK batsmen got starts and they chased it down with 4 balls to spare (Urvil Patel 65, Gaikwad 42).

LSG have won just the 3 matches whilst losing their other 8. Their only win in the last 6 came at home to RCB at this venue where both sides scored just over 200 runs. CSK are bidding for a fourth straight win to boost a record which currently comprises of 6 wins and 5 defeats.

LSG’s win over RCB here was a high scoring affair and I’m wagering this will follow suit with 18 or more sixes

Bets: Total match sixes over 17.5 at 17/20 with Pokerbet

Saturday 16th May Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans

Venue: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Match Result Betting: KKR 21/20 Gujarat Titans 15/20

The Knight Riders were in action away to RCB in Rapur on Wednesday and their revival came to a halt as they went down by 6 wickets. KKR posted 192/4 (Raghuvanshi 71, Rinku Singh 49 not out) but RCB chased it down with 5 balls to spare. That leave KKR with a record of 4 wins, 6 defeats and 1 no result, those wins all came in a row prior to their defeat to RCB and depending on how results go in the days leading up to this game it could rule KKR out of contention for the play offs.

The Titans bandwagon continues to roll, they thrashed the Sunrisers by 82 runs in a home fixture on Tuesday, a fifth straight win and their record now comprises of 8 wins and 4 defeats. Sudharsan (61) and Sundar (50) top scored in their bat first total of 168/5 against the Sunrisers and Rabada removed 3 f the top 4 in the SH batting line up, Jason Holder also took 3 wickets as the Sunrisers were bowled out for 86 in 14.5 overs.

These teams met in Ahmedabad in Match 25 and KKR posted 180 all out in their 20 overs which the Titans chased down with 2 balls to spare for a 5 wicket win.

I think there is plenty of mileage in the price for the Titans to hit the most sixes here.

Bets: Most Sixes Gujarat Titans at 14/10 with Pokerbet

Sunday 17th May Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Venue: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala

Match Result Betting: Punjab Kings RCB

RCB hosted the Knight Riders in Raipur on Wednesday and Virat Kohli turned on the magic with an unbeaten 105 to help his side chase down KKR’s 192/4 with 5 balls to spare and 6 wickets in tact. That was an eighth win of the tournament for RCB (alongside 4 defeats) and at the time it sent them top of the standings with aa very healthy net rate. Their only other match in Raipur saw them beat Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets when they chased down 167 for victory

Punjab Kings were at home to Mumbai on Thursday so we will update this preview nearer to match day.

Sunday 17th May Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals

Venue: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi

Match Result Betting: Capitals 21/20 Royals 15/20

Delhi Capitals have won 5 and lost 7 of their matches. Last time out they won away to Punjab Kings by 3 wickets, recovering from 33/3 to chase down 211 for victory (Axar Patel 56, Dvid Miller 51).  Their most recent outing at this venue saw them go down to KKR by 8 wickets after they could only manage 142/8 bating first. Delhi won their opening match at this venue but went on to lose each of the last 5.

The Royals return to action for the first time since the 9th May when they went down by 77 runs at home to the Titans, 152 all out chasing 230 for victory in Jaipur. That means the Royals have 6 wins and 5 defeats against their name and they have won just 1 of their last 4.

The Royals hosted Delhi at Jaipur in Match 43 and although RR posted a healthy 225/6 the Capitals chased it down in 19.1 overs for a 7 wicket win.

Chasing a target has generally been the way to go at this venue where the Capitals have won just 1 (and lost 5). That would have to be a concern but the Royals have not been in great form so this looks tricky to me. I’ll settle for  small bet on Mitch Starc to be Player of the Match.

Bets: Player of the Match, Mitch Starc at 8/1 with Pokerbet

Monday 18th May Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Venue: MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

Match Result Betting: CSK Sunrisers

CSK were in action in Lucknow on Friday and we will update this preview after the result of that match is known.

The Sunrisers most recent action came away to the in form Titans on Tuesday 1th May and they finished well beaten in Ahmedabad, going down by 82 runs. They found themselves chasing 169 for victory (Cummins 1/20 from 4 overs, Hinge 2/17 from 3 overs) but their batting line up folded, all out for just 86 in 14.5 overs. That leaves the Sunrisers with a record of 7 wins and 5 defeats.

When these teams met in Hyderabad in Match 27 the Sunrisers defended 194/9 for a 10 run victory.
