A betting preview and tips for the 2026 T20 World Cup matches taking place on Friday 13th February including Australia v Zimbabwe, Canada v UAE and USA v Netherlands

FREAKY FRIDAY

Don’t walk under ladders, step on cracks or tie your left shoelace before your right shoelace on this Friday. For the teams at the World Cup, they will be trying their best to avoid crossing paths with the black cat called defeat.

AUSTRALIA v ZIMBABWE, Colombo (RPS)

The Aussies hit the ground running on Wednesday, but they will be weary of stepping on a crack in the form of Zimbabwe. Zim hardly broke a sweat against Oman but now the likes of Head, Maxwell and Stoinis lie in wait.

The RPS in Colombo isn’t exactly the flattest of decks but Pakistan did manage a solid 190 against USA so Australia will fancy their chances of getting their potent top order firing.

Player to Score Most Fours – JP Inglis @ 5.00 with Pokerbet

Mitch Marsh should still sit this one out and Inglis looked in great touch. Head is likely to be a big contender but I’m happy backing Inglis.

Zimbabwe Top Batter – BRM Taylor @ 6.00 with Pokerbet

Bennett looked good against Oman but I’m backing the experience of Taylor to shine through on the big occasion.

CANADA v UAE, Delhi

UAE were impressive for the first half of their clash against the New Zealand as they manage 173/6 against a good attack. However, this quickly seemed less impressive when the Kiwis cruised home without losing a wicket.

Canada for their part also didn’t have the bowling quality to contain South Africa but didn’t embarrass themselves with the bat at all.

Both Teams to Score 160 – Yes @ 2.94 with Pokerbet

Delhi should offer both batting units another decent shot at striking it lucky on the unlucky 13th.

NETHERLANDS v USA, Chennai

Shadley van Schalkwyk and Roelof van der Merwe find themselves going head-to-head and neither will be representing South Africa.

Van Schalkwyk has been in sensational form with the ball and will be keen to lead his USA side to a World Cup victory over the Dutch. Van der Merwe is certainly more bulldog than cat but he will be doing his best to ensure there are no black cats in the path of Holland hopping to another victory.

Netherlands have now had two good performances under their belt and will fancy getting their groove on against the States.

Netherlands Total Sixes – Over 6.5 @ 2.10 with Pokerbet

The Namibians are a feisty bunch, and I think they will go down swinging. They scored 7 big hits against the Dutch.

Player to Score Most Fours – B de Leede @ 7.50 with Pokerbet

The Bas was pretty free flowing in both knocks to date. I’m backing him to do the same again.

Double: UAE & Netherlands to win @2.50 with Pokerbet

I’m taking the double with victories for the two stronger teams the likely result in my opinion.
