Our featured Betway Premiership matches taking place on Sunday see Golden Arrows host Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates visit Marumo Gallants

Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs

Arrows are in mid table with a record of 1 win, 4 draws and 1 defeat and goals have been scarce with just the 3 scored and the same number conceded. Their first 3 matches wwre all 0-0 stalemates followed by their only league win, 1-0 at home to Stellenbosch and their only defeat, 2-1 at home to Sundowns. Last time out Arrows drew 1-1 away to Siwelele.

Chiefs remain unbeaten with 3 wins and 3 draws from their first 6 league games and at the time of writing they are in fourth spot, 8 points off the pace being set by Sundowns but with two games in hand. Chiefs made the perfect start with wins away to Kruger United (3-1) and at home to Sekhukhune (2-0. After that they drew 1-1 at home to Sundowns and then had to settle for a 2-2 draw away to Richards Bay. A 3-2 win against Siwelele at Dobsonville was then followed by a 1-1 draw away to Polokwane City.

The Verdict

These teams have already met once this season and Arrows sprang something of a surprise with a 1-0 away win the MTN8 quarter finals. Chiefs have kept just the 1 clean sheet this season which is something that would concern me but I still fancy a low scoring game with no more than 1 goal in each half of football.

Bets: Both halves under 1.5 goals? Yes at 9/10 with Lucky Fish

Marumo Gallants vs Orlando Pirates

Coming into the weekend program Gallants are in big trouble at the foot of the standings with just 2 points from 6 league matches. Former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronnie Kanalelo has nw been appointed as the new coach and he inherits a squad who have drawn home games against Kruger United (0-0) and Polokwane City (2-2) in addition to four defeats.

On Thursday night Pirates saw off Durban City 2-0 in Orlando in the only midweek fixture and that saw them cut the lead to Sundowns to 4 points and the Bucs have 2 games in hand. Pirates have now scored 14 league goals and conceded just the one which came in a draw away to Amazulu. They also came through the first qualifying round for the CAF Champions League group stage with a 3-1 aggregate win over La Cure Waves of Mauritius and made it through to the final of the MTN8 where they will come up against Sundowns.

The Verdict

We could see a new coach bounce with Gallants but all the other evidence points to Pirates who I am backing to score either 2 or 3 goals in this game.

Bets: Pirates multi goals, 2-3 at 19/20 with Lucky Fish
