Stellies are currently in tenth position, 3 points shy of a top half finish which will still be their aim this season. After this they visit Durban City before hosting Orbit College and they finish up away to Marumo Gallants. Although they have lost just 2 of their last 12 in the Betway Premiership those defeats did arrive in away games last month, at Richards Bay and Polokwane City but they also drew 1-1 at Sundowns. Home form is solid enough but they are now tasked with turning things around with Pirates who beat them twice in Orlando early in the season, 1-0 in the first league meeting and 3-0 (after extra time) in the MTN8 Final.
Orlando Pirates
Pirates will kick off ins second spot, 5 points behind league leaders Sundowns with this game in hand. After this the Bucs have 3 remaining matches in which to bridge the gap, two road trips to struggling sides, Magesi and finally Orbit Collage either side of a home game against Durban City. Even if Pirates win all 4 remaining matches they will still need Sundowns to slip up somewhere in the run in which will start on Wednesday with aa home game against Kaizer Chiefs.
Pirates drew the derby with Chiefs 1-1 last time out, it’s now 9 games without defeat, 6 wins and 3 draws and they did drop points in heir most recent road trip, a 2-2 draw at Richards Bay.

Stellenbosch can be backed at 5.8/1 to win the game with the draw priced at 26/10 and Pirates are 11/20
A game of 3 goals or more in total is priced at 15/10 and it’s 16/10 for both teams to score
The Verdict:
Stellies are having a say in the destination of the title as they took a point from a visit to Sundowns recently and are still in the mix for a top half finish. I’m stopping short of opposing Pirates but I do think the price for Stellies to contribute to the scoring is attractive.
