The focus of our previews this week with be the ODI series between Pakistan and the Proteas. Series starats on Tuesday, 3 matches.

Also lost of white ball cricket with NZ v West Indies and Australia v India plus the local T20's.

Pakistan v SA 1st OI, Faisalabad, Tuesday

Pakistan 6/10 favs but on a poor run although I dare say they have shaken things up and Shaheen Afridi new skipper. 3 match series and will know a bit more after this one so just a couple of interest bets to score a 50 for now.

Pakistan  v  SA  1st ODI

Have not been in Faisalabad for 17 years but the Pakistan Champion's OD Cup was played here last year. Had a quick look at five of the ten group matches and sixes seem good - 14/4/14/25/23.  The SA bowllng has not been good in Pakistan. Looks like only Bosch knows how to bowl on these wickets.

If I feel flush I may take the Linde PP line of 35.5  Will give it some thought while doing the morning shop.

 

Bosch was a good call on Tuesday Vann. Only saw bits of the game, openers on both sides got their teams off to solid starts, looked pretty hard work for a lot of guys after that. Thinking I'll go with that trend to continue in the 2nd match on Thursday.

Going to stick with my sixes and taking Bosch again - but this time in the batting department. Odds just too long

Nice call with the total sixes Vann, that flew in. Could be that the deck is getting worn but I'm hoping there is still some blue sky in the sixes line for the decider based on Thursday's evidence. I thnk Proteas are the value in the match result market too.

Watching a little cricket from the old hood this evening

Warriors  v  WP   SA  T20

Bit of a breeze in PE this evening which makes the one boundary a little long but we have three youngsters who whack sixes with ease in Kitime, Smith and King so taking a sniff. On the bowling side - if your uncle was Big Vince that's good enough for me. Need something from the other innings and, as many of my buddies keep telling me, St John's turns out top sportsmen.

Missed that sixes line. Now out to 14.5. About as annoying as Western Province were last night. Brain dead cricket and two dropped catches cost my sixes and King bets.
Not sure why Ahmed missed the second ODI but he must have an excellent chance on this wicket if he plays
