Thoughts for Turffontein Inside Track today:

Race 1- Snowblade (11/20) odds way to skinny. Formline of Expert Witness (9/2) has worked out well. Knight Heist (5/1) did receive support when third behind runaway winner, Gone Cold, on debut. 
Swinger 3x5

Race 2 - Feast of Berries (11/20) Steps up to a mile. Her dam won a Gr1 over 1600m. Banker for me. Prophecies (16/1) might make swingers pay a bit.

Race 3 - Evening News (36/10) is a half-brother to top stayer, Nebraas. Trip should be no problem. Respect for the favorite, Dr Strangelove (15/10) who also tries the distance for the first time. 

Race 4- Boom Boom (17/1) is my outsider e/w for the day. She has earned a stake cheque in all 5 of her starts over 2000m including 1l behind Hazy Dazy on the Standside Track.

Race 6 - Lovable (5/1) won a good race over this distance last time out. Carries only 52kgs.

Winning Form Punters Challenge previews for the weekend, not hitting the heights of recent weeks but still some decent horses in action including some July entries for the Winter Stakes in KZN. Will post picks on Saturday morning.

Sunday's Turffontein Preview

Greyville Saturday, will play around these four

Race 5 Wiccan Warrior comes in a reserve into draw 1. Was punted last week on the poly and got a bump at the start, Back on turf today and up in trip to 1600 and C&D record is 2 wins from 5, currently around 8/1 each way shout in a competitive race.

Race 6 Captain Oliver, each way at around 8/1. Has been running ok from bad draws ver trips much shorter but stays every inch of 2400m, MR on the slide, good 1.5kg claimer on board, good record with some cut in the ground and drawn 2

Race 7, the feature is tricky with MR's in the future a factor though I'm not sure which of these are heading for the July or the longer stayers races. Holding Thumbs has a terrific record in the wet, small win bet, currently 33/10

Race 8, great race this one for a class 2, will go each way Vihaans Web at 12.5/1 right now, will need a career best to win t but better drawn than some others I like, good record in wet, was backed and ran a cracker behind Questioning last time

Turffontein Sunday - Just the first three races, looking for value and luck!

Race 1 - Money for a few horses here - Take your pick! Stable is quietly confident of a big run from Hoc Est Vita (9/2) @ Sunbet, who ran a good second a week ago behind Lady Harlequin. Miss Dutton is 25/1 @ WSB, but 80/1 @ Sunbet. Im taking a small punt on the 80/1 purely on the price difference. Caladrius ìs as short as 16/10 @ Sunbet, but still some 4/1 available @ WSB and Lucky Fish. Opened 13/2. Returns from a rest, was backed prior to the rest as well. Pettigrew first timer on the drift.

Race 2 - Positive comments on the Spies first timer, Bisou Bisou (36/10 @ Sunbet.) Trying my luck with a tote double Race 1 & 2 - 3,9,10,11 x 1,2,7,9,11 for R20 and hope for two results!

Race 3 - Miss River Dancer (13/1 @ WSB) got scratched a couple of days ago after injuring herself on the way down to the starting stalls. She will be taken down alongside a lead pony today. I have rated her since making her debut. Penny's Choice, relocated from Cape Town,  backed from 6/1 to 38/10. Lets try swingers here 3x5.
