Keeping stakes low Fairview Wednesday:
Race 1 - Alleyah's Rocket (5/2) gets 4kgs from favorite, Soundsofsymphonies. Norse Warrior (16/1) is racing fit and a nice horse for swingers.
SW 5x7
Race 2 - Winteronthegreen (17/10), light weight, good form on poly, stable is confident. Gets 9.5kgs from Sweet Julia. My best bet on the day.
Race 4 - Kim Kay (23/10) - Backed in both local starts. Should be 3rd time lucky. Kyle Strydom has jumped ship from Salagadoola to Gutsy Baby (14/1), who could run into places. SW 6x8
Race 5 - Lana View (5/1) - Consistent earner, better value than the top two in the betting.
Race 6 - Focal Point (12/1) - Excuses last time out, some form before that. Backed in last three starts.
Race 7 - Arlu (16/1) - Continues to plummet in ratings. Must be showing something at home as he has been backed in 4 of his last 5 starts. Bel Canto Dream (36/10) was also backed when third on local debut. Lets try SW 5X7

Hadn't realized Bel Canto Dream had relocated to ECP Jacques, used to follow that one in Cape Town, I've missed out there.

Here we go lads , one of my favourite days of the year .
Race 1
United Front had a few excuses last time and I am counting on the horse being in much better shape, like a few other clan members this is the one to start my day.
Race 2
The Kannemeyer stable has not been firing this winter season in Natal but I'm going to lean towards Green Glow in this very open looking event . Still a 3 year old , about to turn 4 and hoping there is still some improvement to come.
Race 3
World of Alice is my roughie and main bet will be with Southpaw and La Pulga
Race 4
Once again I am aligned with South , I backed Holding Thumbs last time and he didn't put in much of a race , this distance will be what he's after and I make him my best of the day .
Race 5
Palace of Arvenia is the one I'll try and toppled the favourite Alice B Toklas , who I do make very hard to beat .
Race 6
Bisou Bisou has shortened and is trained by a trainer that does well in Durban and with 2 year olds , he's just had the one run so far and could be caught out by a more experienced rivals, my other fancy is St Harry who should love this extra ground though his stable has been a little quiet for a few months .
Race 7
Sticking with Zeitz and following up with King Pelles and Native Ruler .
Race 8
Will be looking for a result here , DGS has the form but really like Mon Petit here and will load up still in exotics trying to beat what may be many people's banker .
Race 9
A top class sprint and if the favourite gets beat there are many that can pick up the pieces , an old flame Jet Force should be motoring home late on .
Race 10
Very very open, taking two , Money Heist and Better Man
Race 11
Warrior Royale hasn't fulfilled what I thought would be a decent career , she's drawn a little wide and will be going for places top 4 as the bet
Race 12
December Dawn was my get out stakes but she is drifting like a barge .
Enjoy the day lads and hit em hard .

Two for today:
Turffontein Sunday
Race 3 - Queen Leila (7/1) - Stable has rated her since day one. Beat No Drama last time, who came out and ran a cracker in the Golden Slipper yesterday. Form behind Flower Island and Alice B Toklas. 7/1 is decent e/w odds.
Race 4 - Snowblade (11/2) - Azzie yard is in form of late. They tried to qualify her for yesterdays feature, so she is showing promise at home. Not much between her and Expert Witness. Respect for Soma and Sage runners. Rachel Venniker knows her well by now.
