The URC made a 1 week return and there were more losers than winners for me although the Lions win at 11/2 insured there was no serious damage - click here for the URC wrap

Somehow I sucked myself into thinking Wales +42.5 was a good play and I cannot really argue with the chap who replied to my newsletter saying "your prediction was a joke"   it wasn't a prediction but my word it was a bad bet

This week the focus is on the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup and a blog will be up tomorrow morning latest. I am not going to have a go at handicapping these as don't have a good feel for Gallagher and Top 14 teams.

There is also the South Africa Svns

Have a good week and I look forward to your thoughts

First play this week for me is Toulouse -30 3u

I assume sharks will not be playing their Boks (definitely not etzebeth anyways) and Toulouse shouldn’t have much bother putting 50 on a depleted team with mentality problems

Could see dupont starting for the first time after his return off the bench on Saturday night

I reckon it could by a 50, and therefor taken available -35.5 with a smile.
Will make it a 'banker' too, although only with Sunday games.

If he said nothing before the game. And only something after the only joke is him.

Nothing worse than a aftertimer.

So, the weekend starts early and there is an opportunity to get the 1st loss in with Colomiers (-12.5) v Grenoble. Points line is 48.5. Its on youtube.

Nothing there to me, i have Colo as 11 points favourites and 49 points expected so no value.

  • A great weekend in store and hopefully a winning one too !
Tomorrow Bayonne host the Stormers , tight game as the betting suggests, Points low at 42.5 and rain expected. Hoping I can get 44.5 tomorrow somewhere , keeping an eye on the weather of course . Going lows for bigs .

Small bit of value for the Sale Sharks at home at plus 5.5 , but not confident .

Ulster at home to a weak Racing 92 , always very difficult what to make of these games , Racing I feel though if they at least try the plus 19.5 could be a stand out .

More to come.

  • A great weekend in store and hopefully a winning one too !
I sometimes get lucky in these European cups, because I follow all of the comps.
Like I got Colomiers right last night in rhe ProD2 as the banker for 2 4x multis.
Anyway, so as not to be a chicken, I'm sticking my head above the parapet, and, heart in mouth, I've punted these so far as handicap beaters;
  • Stormers for the win.
  • Bath -12.5
  • Bristol -7.5
  • Toulousse -35.5
These are the best I've got, and I've gone 3 units on each (my units go to 4)
Good luck Amigos
Also for tonight in Challege cup:
  • Ulster/Racing 92 - 2 units over 52.5 @ 2.02
I'll also punt LIONS (Up to -33.5) and Black Lion too.
These all just my bets - and not in any way to be considered  as TIPS.
Best of luck lads

My fancies are Valence +8, Vannes -10 and Oyo +5 but I'm on vacation and didnt have time to take a proper look on prod2 so I stay away this weekend. Just focused on Champions and Challenge.

I'm on unders 45.5 in Bayonne, I think the rain has stopped but more rain expected around halfway through the game .... it's a grass pitch as far as I am aware .

I'm on Racing plus 24.5 at 4/5 .
