Super Rugby semi-finals, URC final (early look), plus other rugby

It was a real up-and-down weekend for me with my best bet, Crusaders -6.5, landing comfortably, while I also hit the Bulls outright as they pulled off a miraculous comeback against Glasgow.

There were disappointments in Super Rugby though, where I incorrectly thought we might get some lower-scoring playoff games, but the points flowed freely. A late switch from Stormers unders to Leinster minus also proved costly.

Looking ahead to this weekend, we have the two Super Rugby semi-finals and the blog, together with my predicted handicaps , is already up and running.

Current Betting

Chiefs -5.5 v Crusaders 
Hurricanes -16.5 v Blues 

I’ve also had an early look at the URC final and projected the handicap for Leinster v Bulls , although that match only takes place on the 19th of June. I must say, I’m not entirely convinced the week’s gap between the semis and final is a great idea.

try being on the overs when it’s 47pts in one half and still see it not home at 79min!! Could not believe what I was watching. Got there in end but wow that was a sweat I never expected having to go thru after half time.

I fancied the Blues +19.5 but all the predictions of a substantial Hurricane win swayed me to the minus handicap ..... :-o

Hope there are a lot of Hurricane points in the 2nd half ......

Summer is back in the UK , been tonnes of rain for the last week , points have been the go to this weeknd , unbelievably bad defence IMO . The Bath game remains a tough one to call , I have done nicely with Exeter this season and though the plus 9.5 was missed early in the week I managed to get some plus 7.5 at 4/5 . The points should be less expansive with Exeter's defence generally top class, also Matt Carley the ref , sort of neutral , neither an overs or unders  , might be an in running call if there is a fast start . 

Score 21-10 , gone unders at 67.5 

I'm expecting things to be tight in the Top 14 tonight , under 56.5 points

im sitting on a 50/1 Exeter outright bet from October so will be looking for a bit of cover on Saints for final to tie in a profit. 

 

Points continue to flow this weekend and there are two Top 14 matches to look at tonight . It might pay to follow Provence tonight plus 5.5 , however my main ber will be the unders and hoping for a fast start to get something higher . 

Later on Srade host La Rochelle , Stade has a very attacking mindset whilst the vistors have a big match pedigree , so looking at the plus 6.5 La Rochelle .
