The PGA Tour returns this week to Albany Resort, Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods. With only 20 invited players, the field is stacked with elite talent. Below we frame the week from a betting angle and offer a few suggested plays.
Course
Albany Golf Course (par 72) is an Ernie Els design that blends links and desert influences. It features generous fairways framed by expansive waste areas rather than heavy rough, and smaller-than-tour-average greens that reward precise approach play. The layout encourages aggressive strategy, especially for long hitters who can take advantage of the risk-reward par 5s. Wind is often a factor in the Bahamas, elevating the importance of trajectory control, distance control into the wind, and sharp short game around tight green surrounds.
- Approx. length: ~7,300 yards (≈6,680 metres)
- Style: links–desert hybrid with abundant sand, strategic bunkering, and run-offs
- Keys to contend: par-5 scoring, approach play, wind management, and confident putting on small greens

SELECTIONS:
Scottie Scheffler at 2.40.
Scheffler will look to win the tournament for the third year in a row after dominating last year when defending his title. He has also been on a remarkable run of form this year winning two majors and a number of other tournaments. He has not played for a while but is the type of player who can come out and easily win the tournament fresh.
Scottie Scheffler each way at 2.40.
Robert MacIntyre at 12.00
MacIntyre has had a superb end to the season after playing brilliantly to win an away Ryder Cup with team Europe. In his last three starts, he secured a win at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and then went on to secure two top 10 finishes in the last two DP World Tour events. If he can continue this form going into this week, with the small field, I think he stands a very good chance of securing another win for the season.
Robert MacIntyre each way at 12.00
Justin Rose at 21.00
Justin Rose knows how to play well at the Hero World Challenge and his form at the tournament speaks for itself. In his last five starts, he has finished in the top ten every time with three being top five finishes. Rose has also been playing solid golf all year round, finishing runner-up in Majors, showing impressive form at the Ryder Cup and always being somewhere near the top in the big tournaments.
Justin Rose each way at 21.00
