✅ Last Week Recap
Last weekend was one to forget for me.
The Aussies failed to take their chances against New Zealand, and the Boks' scoring dried up in the final quarter and I was on over 36.5. The URC didn’t go much better, but fortunately, over 56.5 at Loftus was my biggest bet and it landed, saving the weekend from a total blowout.
The beauty of sports betting is that the sun always rises, and I’m looking forward to some URC action and a bit of cycling this weekend.
🏏 Proteas Women Deserve a Shoutout
Before we dive in, a massive shoutout to the Proteas Women, who beat India yesterday in some style.
After their opening loss to England (more like a capitulation), there were already calls on Social Media for them to come home. They then beat New Zealand and what a run chase against India yesterday. That innings from Nadine de Klerk (I caught it by accident while on the treadmill) of 84* off 54 balls was surely one of the best ODI innings of all time in the ladies game.
Here is hoping the Proteas can keep rolling and grab a semi-final berth.

This newsletter is coming out a bit later than planned, mainly because I’m just not overly confident in anything this weekend. Maybe it’s the hangover from last week, or maybe it’s just the challenge of reading these early URC rounds. In the end I have settled on one semi-strong play (on a team that would feature on my red list for sure) and a 13/1 acca.
