Hooked on the Sharks
Steve Waugh once worked out that the benefit he got from playing the hook shot was outweighed by the number of times it cost him his wicket. He gave up the hook shot and if I were to apply the same principle to the Sharks, I’d never bet on them again. Sadly, I lack that kind of discipline.
Last week, I took the +21.5 away to Leinster. After a slow start, the bet looked like it might arrive… only for the Sharks to gift Leinster a try from a defensive lineout.
Plenty of rugby this weekend, and I’ll be watching from our traditional extended family getaway in the bush, where I’ll catch as much action as I can.

I had a mate visiting from out of town and went for dinner last night, so I wasn’t on the show, but big thanks to The Crowe Tips for standing in as host. He was joined by The Mossman and The Admiral, and it was a cracking episode with some sharp betting strategy gems thrown in.
