The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 12th to 14th September including an 11.6/1 acca with @WorldSportsBet

The under 48.5 arrived fairly comfortably last week but while it was a great test match to watch, the Boks’ failure to convert pressure into points was a disappointment for me as a fan – if not as a punter.
As an unders punter the worst feeling is when the All Blacks get far enough ahead that you cannot win your bet unless the Boks lose the test.

They have a quick shot at revenge this week, and as you’ll see below, I think it will be a more open game in Wellington.

Weekend Plays

New Zealand v South Africa on the Double

My big bet for the week was Lions -12.5 taken early. That line has since moved to -19.5, so I’ll wait for points markets before deciding whether to get further involved. For now, I’m focusing on the two Bok games.

It’s pretty unusual to see New Zealand v South Africa quoted twice on the same day.

First up are the men in Wellington. While I was on unders last week, this time I’m leaning overs. Conditions look decent, although it does appear windy, and kicking can be tricky at this ground. For that reason, I prefer over 5.5 tries rather than over 49.5 points.

If only 5 tries are scored, all would need to be converted and we’d still require 5 penalties to get the overs. On the other hand, 6 converted tries would still leave us needing 3 penalties. The value for me lies with tries rather than total points.

🟢 BET: 4 units – Over 5.5 tries NZL v SA (Rugby Championship) at 17/20 at Sportingbet

Later in the day, it’s the turn of the ladies, and they face a massive task against New Zealand. They are +38.5 on the handicap, but once again my lean is towards points, where I like the over 52.5 on offer. This tournament has been great to watch and bet on and lets hope the points flow.
