✅ Last Weekend: A Belter!
Last weekend was a cracker with overs arriving in both the men’s and women’s matches against New Zealand.
It was a different experience from the week before at Eden Park, where I was on under 48.5 and at one point stuck in that horrible betting purgatory: if the Boks won, I lost the bet. This time around, it flipped and in the Boks v NZ Test, it reached a point where if New Zealand came back to win, at least I’d land the bet!
Shoutout to the SA ladies who had us sweating with a 10–10 halftime scoreline against the Black Ferns. I was worried for my overs bet, but the defending champs opened the floodgates early in the second half.
Watch out for the Bok Women in 2029!
In the end, it was a great weekend: both Rugby Championship bets and both Currie Cup plays landed. A late Scotland try from nowhere, however, meant I posted a small loss in the Women’s Rugby World Cup but overall the tournament has been a nice money spinner.
