South Africa delivered the newsletter goods last week in a brutal power display against Ireland. The -6.5 should have arrived a lot easier, but Ireland defended brilliantly and a try to them at the end would have done us in. I actually saw only bits and pieces of the game as I drew the worst possible seat in my poker tournament, with my back to the screen, and aside from having to turn 180 degrees to see anything, I had everyone staring over my head all night. For the record the cards were cold.
Two out of four in the acca and that drought continues.

It was just Oracle and myself last night and we went through the Bok test and focused on the URC games involving the South African teams. There may also have been some cricket discussed, and a look back at when a young Oracle worked security at the Wanderers and “played the field.”

A Royal Victory
Chris is no longer an owner of Royal Victory but he still follows his progress closely and reckons there is some value in his price this week. Royal loves the 2000m at Turfontein as he proved when delivering for us at 66/1 2 years ago and the stable will have him primed for this one. It may be slightly sentimental but we are on Royal Victory again this week
