Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Saturday 7th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

GRISELDA produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. She tried hard all the way to the line, but was touched off by Volcanic Heat. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Erik The Red would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can go one better.

CUSTODIAN was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over this C&D. The daughter of Futura is likely to race on the speed and can follow up with another victory.

LANZAROTE was in need of her debut effort over 800m on this course. The daughter of Erupt would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can place.

Race 2

Nine of the ten runners in this contest are unraced and the betting market will be the best guide. NIGHTSHINE ran a good race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. He was slow into stride, raced green but stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Rafeef would have come on from the run and with experience on his side, he may be the one to beat.

THE BRONX BULL is an unraced son of Buffalo Bill Cody from the Tony Peter stable with Calvin Habib booked to ride. He is related to Rifle Queen who has won three times and placed once from as many starts. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note.

SPEED STORM is a son of Rafeef from the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable and Keagan de Melo rides. He is related to two-time winner Princess Palace. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself.

Race 3

FIRE STORM ran a creditable race on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. He was slow into stride, took time to find his feet but stayed on nicely at the finish. He finished 1 length behind BALULE that day. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. With the natural progression that is expected, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

PORRIDGE BOY returns from a 28-week break and is having his first run as a gelding. He was campaigning in features last season. If not in need of the run, he should pose a massive threat.

BALULE has produced three good runs to date. He would have come on from his last outing and should strip much fitter. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody merits healthy respect.

Race 4

KNOWMORE stayed on when third over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that World Order has come out and won again since. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1800m. He jumps from a good draw of three and can shed his maiden tag.

ROYALE JACKET ran a creditable race when third over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He steps up to 1800m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

VIXENINTHEVINEYARD was touched off in her last start over 2000m on the Vaal Classic course. She receives her sex allowance and should give the males a run for their money.

Race 5

WILLIAM ROBERTSON was an easy winner in the Non-Black Type African Holly Stakes last time. He showed good pace and won with a ton in hand. The 7yo gelding has won twice and finished second once from six starts over this C&D. He is in a good space and should take a power of beating.

TAXI TO THE MOON won a game race in the Grade 3 Betway Lebelo Sprint last time. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

ZIYASHA was not disgraced in the Listed Southeaster Sprint last time. He returns from a 14-week break which would have done him the world of good. He races well fresh and would not be a shock winner.

Race 6

This is a competitive Grade 2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is LOWVELD LILY from the visiting Justin Snaith stable. She stayed on strongly when third in the Grade 2 Cartier Sceptre Stakes last time. The daughter of Legislate was far from disgraced when fifth in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas in her penultimate run. If all went well with her travels, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

GOLDEN PALM was a beaten odds-on favourite in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas last time. She won her only attempt on this course. She jumps from pole position and on previous form, she merits healthy respect.

HAZY DAZY produced a strong finish to win the Grade 3 Ducat Fillies Mile last time. She returns from a well- deserved 10-week break. If not in need of the run, she should have a say.

Race 7

RADIO STAR was super-impressive when winning his first run as a gelding over this C&D. He was sent to the front under Gavin Lerena that day and won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Fire Away would have come on a lot from the outing. He looks to have plenty of class about him and it is encouraging that Gavin Lerena retains the ride. He is likely to use his gate speed to overcome the wide draw and may be hard to peg back.

SPLITTHEEIGHTS won a good race in the Grade 3 Betway Got The Greenlight Stakes last time. The manner in which he quickened up was eye-catching. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has ability and merits healthy respect.

TRUST finished 2.5 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He will strip much fitter and should be involved.

Race 8

CALLMEGETRIX was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off her back once again. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

TEXAS RED finished 3.7 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

BUSSTOPINHOUNSLOW was a tad disappointing over 2000m last time. The son of New Predator runs well for Rachel Venniker who takes the 1.5kgs off his back. He will be mowing down the frontrunners at the finish.

Race 9

ERROL FLYNN showed good improvement when winning his last start over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. He lost a length leaving the start, but showed a good turn of foot and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Master Of My Fate takes on stronger, but he looks to be above average and should be up to the task at hand.

WINSTON‘S WONDER was doing his best work late when third over 1200m last time. The son of Danon Platina will love the step up to the mile and if jumping on terms, he should pose a massive threat.

KUDZU has fair consistent form lines to his name. He drops back in class and Craig Zackey may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most
