Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 12th February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

UBERMENSCH set the pace over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time before getting caught late by Master Spy. The son of Querari gets the services of capable work rider Chamu Mabaya. He meets the right field and can shed his maiden tag.

SHIVERING LIGHT is an unraced daughter of Fire Away from the Tony Peter stable with Siyabonga Mthembu in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Over Two You. She does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this field. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN showed good improvement when fifth over 1200m last time. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is a progressive type and gets the services of capable work rider Tshepiso Matsoele. There may be more to come from him over the extra 250m.

Race 2

HOT COCOA showed good improvement when second in her stable debut over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. She took the lead at the 500m mark that day before getting caught late by Babette’s Feast. The daughter of Querari will strip much fitter and with luck from her awkward draw of eight, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

POWER OF PEARLS has consistent form lines to her credit. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1450m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

GIMMESUMLUV showed good improvement when third over 1160m on the Standside course last time. She is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1450m. From her good draw of two, she should be involved at the finish.

Race 3

SPEEDMAN ran a good race when third over 1600m on the Standside course last time. He was reported to be not striding out that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. He won a good race over 1400m at the Vaal in his penultimate effort. The son of Vercingetorix has class about him and may be the one to beat.

QUICKFREEZE followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. The son of Querari is a progressive type and can bring up the hat-trick.

BRISTOL HERCULES was his own worst enemy over 1700m last time as he over-raced in the early stages. If Callan Murray is able to switch him off early, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

AGOGE was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course. He received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the rise to 1800m. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can notch up his third-career victory.

BUDDY BOY was doing his best work late when third over 1700m at the Vaal last time. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ON TARGET finished 1.1 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 5

TAEGAN’S CHAMP won a good race in his last start over 1700m at the Vaal. He raced from a handy position and drew off in the closing stages. He finished second in his only attempt on this course. He is carded to race on 07 February 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

SOLDIER’S EYE stayed on when fifth in the Listed TAB Spook Express Stakes last time. Three of her four career victories have come on this course. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off her back and she is one of the leading contenders.

DAIMYO ran a fair race in the Grade 3 Cape Of Good Hope Chairman’s Cup last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this distance. If all went well with his travels back to the Highveld, he can go close.

Race 6

Trainer Fanie Bronkhorst holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. TIME WILL TELL showed signs of a form return in his last start over 1200m at the Vaal. He raced from a prominent position and stayed on at the finish. The son of William Longsword has dropped in the ratings and with Muzi Yeni retaining the ride, he can return to winning ways.

TIME FOR CHARITY was running on when third over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

IN THE ETHER finished 2.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 7

BLIND AMBITION finished 0.1 lengths behind SONIC JET last time. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Erupt has cracked pole position and she may be the one to side with.

SONIC JET won a game race over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. The daughter of Erupt is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

THAT’S MY BABY has finished third in her last two starts. She finished 2.5 lengths behind HONG KONG in her penultimate outing. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 8

PLAY WITH THE WIND showed good speed when winning her last start over 1200m at the Vaal. The daughter of Elusive Fort received a four-pound penalty for that victory. She steps up to 1450m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may be hard to peg back.

VAMANOS ran on powerfully when winning her last start over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is in a good space and is one of the leading contenders.

BRIGHT AND BRAZEN ran a good race when third over this distance on the Vaal Classic course. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off her back and she can earn another cheque for her patrons
