He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
DADS DREAM ran a fair race over 1000m at Turffontein last time. The son of New Predator is a progressive type and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
MAGIC PATH is an unraced son of Pathfork from the Paul Matchett stable with Philasande Mxoli up. He is related to seven-time winner Magic Exists. If not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

LOLLY WILLOWES showed massive improvement when second over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She jumped inwards leaving the start and finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Willow Magic is a progressive type and can go one better.
MASTER‘S LADY finished 2 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
FIERY FROLIC tried hard when second over 1160m at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Gulf Of America. She is in a good space and Craig Zackey may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
Race 3
TRACKSUIT DAVE was in need of his debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. He was slow into stride, raced green and was reported to be fatigued post-race. The son of Fire Away would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to side with.
STONEYWOOD has finished second in his last two starts. He found one too good in the form of Fiery Rose last time. The son of William Longsword is a progressive type and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TASKMASTER is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. The 11-week break would have done him the world of good. He has scope and if not in need of the outing, he should be involved.
Race 4
SEA SHANTY stayed on at the finish when fifth over 1400m at Turffontein last time. The drop to 1200m should not be an issue as he has won over 1160m previously. The son of Lance drops in class and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.
PEREGRINE FALCON produced a good first effort for the Paul Matchett stable. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
HATHIGHWAYTOTHESKY followed up her maiden victory with a good third-place finish over this C&D. She produced a strong finish that day. The daughter of Hat Puntano should strip much fitter and she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
ARLINGTON ACTION ran a good race when third over this distance on the Classic course last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. Apprentice Jacey Botes takes the 2.5kgs off his back and if all goes according to plan, he can notch up his ninth-career victory.
BANHA BRIDGE ran a fair race over 1800m at Turffontein last time. He has dropped to a competitive rating and is one of the leading contenders in this field.
MILITARY MOVES was not beaten far over 2000m on the Classic course last time. The son of Fire Away should be at home over this distance. Muzi Yeni knows him well and he would not be a shock winner.
Race 6
SOLDIER‘S EYE was running on when second in the Listed War Of Athena Handicap last time. The cheekpieces seem to have done the trick on the daughter of Rabada. She should have no issues with the rise to 2400m and can go one better.
ROYAL INVITATION won a good race over this distance in the Non- Black Type Racing240 Sun Chariot Handicap last time. Louis Nhlapo retains the ride and she can follow up with another victory.
POPLAR PARK finished 2 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 7
THE ULTIMATE KING was far from disgraced when third in the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He has won his only attempt on this course. The son of Vercingetorix drops in class and with luck in running, he should notch up his sixth-career victory.
CHOISAANADA is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He won his only attempt over this distance. On best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.
WILLY MEET AGAIN finished 1.2 lengths behind BUSTER BARNES last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

TROMBOLINES made the expected natural improvement when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He raced from a handy position, showed a good turn of foot and drew off in the closing stages. The son of Querari takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
BRAVE VIKING has been taking on stronger in recent outings. His penultimate run when second over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course was encouraging. Philasande Mxoli is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
PRINCE OF KILDARE has consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Carnelo. The son of Coup De Grace merits healthy respect.
Race 9
PALACE PRINCE ran a good race when fourth in the Non-Black Type WSB Heritage Consolation last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The son of Potala Palace finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. He is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.
YIPPEE KIYAY stayed on when fourth in the Grade 3 Betway Got The Greenlight Stakes last time. He runs well for Callan Murray and is one of the leading contenders.
DANTONFROMSANDTON is better than his last start in the Listed 4Racing Wolf Power 1600. If finding the form of his penultimate run behind Mastership, he should have a say.
