Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 11th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
PRINCESS CHANTE produced an encouraging debut effort over this distance on the polytrack. She stayed on at the business end that day. It must be noted that the horse that finished second has come out and won since. The daughter of William Longsword would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.
ETERNAL SPIRIT over raced over 1400m last time and the stable has opted to bring her back to 1000m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
CAMBIASO is an unraced daughter of The United States from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. She is related to four-time winner T’Challa. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
RACE 2
LOVE FROM AFAR was a beaten odds-on favourite over this distance on the polytrack last time. He was squeezed leaving the start, but stayed on at the business end. The son of Horizon will enjoy racing on the turf and with luck in running, he can shed his maiden tag.
MONKEY‘S WEDDING has fair consistent form to his name. He set the pace over this distance last week Friday before getting outrun. If this run has not come too soon, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
CARAVANTOVACCARES is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie doing duty. He was carded to race last week Friday. However, he reared before the gates opened, dislodged Richard Fourie and was declared a non-runner. He drifted from 28/10 to 11/2 in the betting market that day.
RACE 3
WILD FIG tried hard when second to Bad Medicine over this C&D last time. He won his three efforts prior to that over this distance on the polytrack. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and if getting away on terms, he can return to winning ways.
MAKHACHEV finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today. The 6yo gelding always gives of his best and merits healthy respect.
LAGUNA VERDE finished 3 lengths behind ABOVE THE HORIZON last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he should not have any issues with the rise to 2000m. The 7yo gelding would not be a shock winner.
RACE 4
JOKER MAN stayed on when third over 1000m on the polytrack last time. The 6yo gelding will enjoy the rise to 1400m as he has won over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course previously. If putting his best foot forward, he can return to winning ways.
SILVONIAN has good consistent form to his credit. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from six starts over this distance. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but Craig Zackey knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
TRIPPING THUNDER showed some signs of needing his last start in the Non- Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge. He has won twice from four starts over this distance. He will strip much fitter and would not be a surprise winner.
RACE 5
BLAME IT ON ME was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He took the lead at the 400m mark and found more to keep all challengers at bay. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The 6yo gelding is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
RULES OF CONDUCT followed up his maiden win with a fair fourth-place finish over 1000m on the polytrack. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. With luck in running, he should give his older rivals a run for their money.
GIVETHATMANABELLS is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. Craig Zackey is likely to use his early gate speed from pole position and the combination may be hard to peg back.
RACE 6
This is a competitive Merit Rated 66 Handicap for the girls and caution is advised. BLAZING FLAME from the Dean Smith stable is the tentative first selection. She followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance on the polytrack. She was touched off by This Or That. The daughter of Fire Away has scope and she may be the one to side with.
DANCING IN WINTER found more to win her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She returns from a well-deserved 11-week break. If not in need of this outing, she may be hard to catch.
BASINGSTOKE should have finished closer over 1000m last time as she hung inwards in the final 300m. She won her penultimate outing over this distance on the polytrack. If finding the form of that outing, she can feature.
RACE 7
Trainer Dean Smith holds a strong hand and can saddle the first two past the post. ASTRONOMICAL BOY returns from a 27-week break and is having his first outing for the yard. The 1200m is no concern as he has won over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville previously. If settled into his new surroundings, he can notch up his third-career victory.
FOREST SPY stayed on when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that Aquarius has come out and won again since. The 7yo gelding is a solid back-up for the Smith yard.
FIRST OFFICER has finished third in both his efforts over this C&D. He gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick.
RACE 8
CHEERFUL CHARLIE B has fair recent form on the polytrack. His last victory came over this C&D. He has cracked a good draw of three and if not too far out of his ground, he can notch up his third-career victory.
PYRO EDITION ran on strongly when second in his last start over this distance on the polytrack. Two of his three career victories have come over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
RUN THE WORLD found one too good in the form of Rhydian last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be involved in the fight to the finish
