RACE 1
RUSH GREEN is the top bet on the programme. He produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on the polytrack. The son of Gimmethegreenlight lost a length leaving the start, but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching. He would have gained from the experience and should love the extra 200m on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.
RED BIRCH showed good improvement when second over 1000m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Erik The Red is a progressive type and should enjoy the rise in distance. From her good draw of three, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

ROCK ME MAMA was a beaten odds-on favourite over this distance on the polytrack last time. She finished third in her penultimate effort over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should be competitive.
RACE 3
STRAIGHT RED should have finished closer to the winner over 1600m last time. He finished third over 2000m on this course, four runs ago. SATELLITE WORLD set the pace over 1900m on the polytrack last time before getting touched off by Trip To Peace. He has finished second in both his efforts on this course. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

RACE 4

ALESIAN BEAU is better than his last start over this distance on the polytrack. His penultimate run when second over this C&D was encouraging. On the form of that outing, he should be involved at the finish.
RACE 5
HONORINE’S GIMMIE has produced two creditable efforts since winning his maiden over this C&D. He showed pace and tried hard when beaten a short-head over 1300m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that Dupont Emerald has come out and won again since. He gets a change of headgear and in this field, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
SLASH ‘N BURN notched up his first-career victory against winners. He returns from a 10-week break and is having his first outing for Alan Greeff. If settled into his new surroundings, he should pose a massive threat.
FLIGHT ENGINEER has fair recent form to his name. He carries a handy galloping mass of 50.5kgs and can earn another cheque for his patrons.
Race 6
ROMAN AGENT was doing his best work late when third over 1000m on the polytrack last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Mickaelle Michel takes the 1.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
IMAGINABLE finished 0.65 lengths behind BLACK EGRET last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.

ROYAL MISSY is much better than her last start in the Listed WSB East Cape Derby. Her penultimate run when second in the Non-Black Type East Cape Oaks catches the eye. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
SILVAN MISTRESS is better than her last start in the Listed WSB East Cape Derby as she was reported to be not striding out. On her previous two victories, it would be no surprise to see her involved at the finish.
RACE 8
This is a competitive Merit Rated 66 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is ALADO’S PRIDE from the Zietsman Oosthuizen stable. He should have finished closer to SAN QUINTIN last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights this afternoon and that should be enough to turn the form around. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
GARDEN SUN finished 2.25 lengths behind SAN QUINTIN in the race referred to above. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today, and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
SAN QUINTIN finished third over 1900m on the polytrack, on Monday. He drops back in class and on the form of his penultimate outing, he merits obvious consideration.
