Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 16th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

WEEKEND IN ASPEN ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. Despite over racing in the early stages, she finished second. The daughter of Futura is a progressive type and with just 54.5kgs on her back, she can go one better.

TRICKLE CHARGE showed improvement when second over this C&D last time. She had to overcome the widest draw that day. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has scope and is one of the leading contenders.

BAI YULU finished off her last race strongly when second over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Her awkward draw is an obvious concern but with luck in running, she would not be a shock winner.

RACE 2

QUEEN OF CASTILLE set the pace over 1300m last time, fought hard but was touched off by Alleyah’s Rocket. The daughter of Gold Standard has plenty of scope and is drawn in pole position. She should get a good run in transit and may be hard to peg back.

MONKEY’S WEDDING is still a maiden after 17 starts. He has finished third in his last three starts on this track. The stable has opted to remove the blinkers and should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

INDESTRUCTABLE should have finished closer to the winner over 1300m last time. The son of Querari would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With luck in running, he should be competitive.

RACE 3

CAPRANICA cost himself winning last time as he hung in the final 250m. The son of Hawwaam finished third over this C&D, four runs ago. He meets the right field and despite carrying top weight, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

TARANAKI NOMAD relocates to the Eastern Cape and is having his first run for Trainer Kelly Mitchley. The son of Savabeel steps up to 2200m which may be what he is looking for. Callan Murray does duty and he may have good improvement to come.

SCOTT’S BAR ran a fair race when third over 1800m on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack last time. The son of Malmoos is having his first outing for Dean Smith. He steps up to 2200m and with the blinkers fitted, he can show good improvement.

RACE 4

CASPERITA was not disgraced when fifth in the Listed TAB Casino Champion Juvenile Cup last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day suggests that she will enjoy the rise to the mile. The daughter of Fire Away returns from a 12-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and she can win if fit.

HONORABLE MEMBER has fair recent form to her name. The daughter of Rabada comes into this contest well-weighted and on best form shown, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

AUGUSTA ROSSO was not beaten far over 1200m last time. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bongani Makhubo which will assist her cause. She is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.

RACE 5

DAFFODIL DELIGHT showed some signs of a form return when sixth over 1200m on the turf last time. She was reported to be not striding out and blowing that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. She has cracked pole position and can return to winning ways.

BLAZING FLAME is better than her last start on the turf. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this track. Should the top selection fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WINTERONTHEGREEN has good recent form to her credit. She showed speed over 1200m on this course last time before getting outrun late by Bandmaster. The daughter of What A Winter is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

RACE 6

STOKESY is the top bet on the programme. He set the pace over 1400m on this course last time before getting outrun late by Blame It On Me. He finished second, a neck behind the winner over this C&D in his penultimate outing. The son of Fire Away is likely to get his own way in front again and may be hard to peg back.

CHAMPONELLE ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. The son of Querari should get a good run in transit and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

KWAGGA BLITZ produced a strong finish to win his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. He does take on slightly stronger, but is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.

RACE 7

MERCANTOUR is one of the better bets on the card. He was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1400m on this course. The son of Var won this race last year and has no issues with the distance. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and the 7yo gelding is the horse to beat.

ALL SYSTEMS GO finished 0.25 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. He is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to catch.

INGQWELE finished 1.75 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

RACE 8

SILVANO’S SONG finished 0.35 lengths behind TORI’S GIRL last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. The son of Silvano will strip a much fitter horse. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.

TORI’S GIRL showed good guts and determination when winning her last start over 2000m on this course. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. She is drawn widest, but Richard Fourie will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

OSMIUM finished 2.6 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He has cracked a good draw of three and would not be a surprise winner
