Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 15th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
AMBERFORGO produced an encouraging debut effort over this distance at the Vaal. She lost a length leaving the start, understandably raced green but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Chimichuri Run would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can shed her maiden tag in this field.
THE BUFFALO showed improvement when second over this distance at the Vaal last time. He found one too good in the form of Kings Mountain that day. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is a progressive type and should pose a threat.
COPY AND PASTE is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Alec Laird stable with Chase Maujean aboard. If not in need of the experience, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.
Race 2
THE BACHELORETTE stayed on when fourth over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She was reported to be blowing that day and would have come on from the outing. The daughter of William Longsword has scope and she may be the one to side with.
SATISFIED was running on when second over this distance at the Vaal last time. She found betting support that day. The daughter of Futura has scope and she is one of the leading contenders.
NIXIE GIRL produced a promising debut effort over this distance at the Vaal. She was running on too late that day and would have gained from the experience. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.
Race 3
EIGHT HATS has consistent recent form to her name. She stayed on when third over 1400m at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Hat Puntano meets the right field and she should give the males a run for their money.
STAGE ONE finished 2.5 lengths behind GOD’S COUNTRY last time. He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. If confirming his recent improvement, he should turn the form around.
GOD’S COUNTRY followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance at the Vaal. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Girish Samo-Burthia retains the ride. He is carded to race on 08 October 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
Race 4
QUANTUM THEORY is better than his last start in the Listed Betway Spring Spree Stakes. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Querari has class about him and on best form shown, he should be too good for this field.
ANTONIO GAUDI stayed on when third over 1200m at the Vaal last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AFRICAN PRIDE finished 4.25 lengths behind the second selection in his penultimate effort. He is only 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough to turn the form around.
Race 5
ME AND YOU followed up her maiden win with a good victory over 1400m at the Vaal. She was given a peach of a ride by Craig Zackey that day. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 2000m. The daughter of Querari is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.
ELISA MBALI followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over 1800m on this course. She received a six-pound penalty for that victory. With a bit of luck in running, she should pose a massive threat.
THE MIGHTIEST finished 2.4 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today which is enough to turn the form around. However, ELISA MBALI won easier than the official margin suggests and may still have the upper hand.
Race 6
Trainer Tony Peter holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. ART NOUVEAU won a good race over this distance at the Vaal last time. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. She is the stable elect with Kabelo Matsunyane aboard and can follow up.
WINTER RAINFALL ran a good race when second over 1400m at the Vaal last time. She steps up to 2000m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can go close.
FUTURE DATE found one too good in the form of Tomyris last time. She finished 1.35 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 7
GOT THE LOOK was an easy winner of her stable debut over 1200m on this course. She raced from just off the pace, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of What A Winter would have come on from the outing. She steps up to 1450m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can follow up.
FIRE IN HER SOUL found extra to win her last start over 1400m at the Vaal. The change of headgear did the trick on the daughter of William Longsword. She is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.
JACK‘S LEGACY won a game race over this C&D last time. The daughter of Buffalo Bill Cody takes on stronger, but she carries a light mass and should give a good account of herself.
Race 8
LIGHTINTHEWOODS moved up like a winner over this C&D last time before getting outrun late by Raptor King. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has ability and from pole position, she can notch up her third-career victory.
LATE BLOOMER showed signs of needing her last start over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of Querari would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.
SECRET LIFE was caught late when second over 1400m at the Vaal last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Act Of War should get a good run in transit and merits obvious consideration
